I believe that employees should be stress free in a highly stressed working environment to improve production, and one of the ways to help is to allow employees to play games on their desktop or laptop in the office. It's a way of winding down after hours of meetings, paper work and phone calls. Even bosses play solitaire on their PC. I think bosses are afraid that employees get carried away with the online games and would then ignore their work, thus causing delays that would affect other departments.

The boss is always worring that the staff is inefficient. But it is common to see that some employees are always busy, but some are free to play computer games. I've heard the complaints from those who always busy and also received the invitation from those who play games. Some times the talks made me uneasy.

That's sound pity. But it is lucky that your wages have not been deducted as punishment.

i hardly play game online at work, only because i never have the time for it. the workload is just unbelievable. i wouldnt mind colleagues playing online game as long as its not burdening others and slow others down. my college friends are all playing games from their office..
