My soon to be daughter in law went to the doctor on Thursday. She's now beginning to dialate which means that process of my sweet Addyson Grace (my very first granddaughter that I will get to be in the delivery room for) has started on the downhill ride! So everyone is catching naps in the afternoons, and keeping cell phones charged, and shoes close beside the bed.
Amber has packed her suitcase and has it in the car, ready to go. We are standing by on baby alert!

One of the greatest things is to be there.....my granddaughter is two now and it's an experience I'll never forget!! (or I hope I don't anyways! ya know....alzheimers, old age....all that...)
But it will be a memory of that baby you'll always cherish and be happy you were there on her 'birth day'
My daughter won't forget either.....

Just curious because one of the characters names was Addyson and the shows setting is Seattle Grace Hospital....just wondering

no. Someone else had aske them that. My son rolled his eyes and said "That show is a chick flick. Why would I name my kid after a tv show. He's so blunt. That statement earned him a slug from Amber!
Actually, she named her Addyson after hearing a woman call her little girl that in the grocery store. Grace was Amber's great grandmother's name!

Definately. Everyone has shortened her name to Addy. Amber's mom has even started signing all of her text messages and e-mails "Addy's Mimi."! How funny that when a baby comes along that grown men and women become just plain silly. My daughter found her a onesie this weekend that says "If you think I'm cute, you should see my aunt" Now all the girls...both of mine, and Amber's two sisters are all play fighting about which one of the it's talking about.

That is absolutely wonderful news!!!! I can't wait to hear more about her birth when she comes, and to see lots of pictures!! It seems that everyone I know is either getting ready to have a baby themselves, or has a relative who is getting ready to have a baby, and I'm sure a few of my friends are probably about to conceive, the way things are going. ROFLOL Wow!! Lots and lots of babies.

She is such a joy! Amber and James are bringing her by to see me tomorrow. I can't wait. It's been almost a week since I saw her last! She is growing by leaps and bounds. It seems she changes daily! James tells me she is already moving her mouth and making little cooing noises.

It certainly seems to be going well so far. Addyson is three weeks old today! She is chubby and happy. Hardly ever cries except for moI'm including a picture of our little angel! She already has her papa Mike (My husband) wrapped around her little finger! You can definately see that from the picture I'm including.

That is wonderful news and I can imagine that you are incredibly excited. Your granddaughter will soon be born into the world. I think Addyson Grace is a lovely name. I hope that the birth will go really well. My baby girl was born six weeks ago and her name is Amber.

How cool! My cousin's newest grandchild named her little girl June Michelle. which June is Amber's middle name! Our little June will be a year old next month. Now her mama has a new baby boy born last week. Her mother in law (my cousin) isn't happy that she got pregnant again so soon. It will be really tough on her with two babies under the age of a year old.

I certainly did enjoy her arrival! I got the call three weeks ago today. I had just gotten to church when Amber's sister called me and said "Meet us at the hospital!". It was a little wild at first because her mother was out of town with her younger sister. So myself and Amber's Aunt were the calming influence for the first three hours. Now we're just having trouble keeping the batteries charged for the camera! LOL
