I am on my third passport at the moment. I was 18 years old when I got my first passport. It was black with a hard cover. I got my second passport in my twenties and it was red with a soft cover. I got an Israeli stamp in it so that wasn't great for traveling to many countries. I was happy to get my third passport in 2005. It is also red with a soft cover. How many passports have you had in your lifetime so far? Did you have to get any visas? What color is your passport?

I am in the process of renewing my passport, which will be my second one. My first one was in 96 and only made one trip outside of the country during that time and when it expired. I am hoping to visit some other countries during the life of my second passport. Can not go anywhere outside of the country without one. In some cases you need to have a passport for jobs which require traveling outside of the country as well as for personal travel. My previous passport was a dark blue.

My first Philippine passport had a brown cover, it was later changed to green cover, the most recent will be a machine-readable red cover. It normaly expires every 5 years, so I think I have 5 already. I also have a Taiwan passport which expires every 10 years. People in the military, seaman, diplomats, have another passport besides the regular civilian passport. Dual citizens can also have passports of both countries. Some can even have 4 from different countries.

I have had 3 different passports. I got my first passport when I was 15. I needed a passport, because I was going to London with my class. I don't remember what my first passport looked like, I think it was red, but I am not sure. 5 years later I had to get a new passport. When you are a child, your height etc changes, and that is the reason why you can only use your passport for 5 years instead of 10 years. So I had a new passport when I was 20, this time I am sure about the colour, and it was a red passport. When I turned 30 I needed a new passport again, but this time it was a bit more complicated. There were a lot of new rules about the pictures, and at first they wouldn't accept my application, I had to go and get other photo. When I returned with another photo they finally accepted my application and I got my new passport.

Hi Maxine, I don´t remember how many passports I´ve had. But I do remember my first passport. It wasn´t my own. It was a joint passport with my mother, my brother and sister and I. It seems now thay don´t do that. I think my grandchildren have their own passports. I have had to get visas many times. To begin with, I need a visa to enter the US and I have gone many times there. The first time was with that passport I was telling you about. I´d be very happy if some countries didn´t put so many problems: I like to go to a vacation for 1 week or 2 and have to spend as much time getting the necessary documents. And anyway, people who want to live there ilegally are going to do it anyway. Hug.

I only have one passport at the moment. I got it 3 years ago and have travelled six times already. It has a soft green cover and not valid for travel in Iraq. I have been in Thailand 2 times and 3 times in Singapore. I can go to other Asian countries for 30days without visa as my home country has an agreement with other South East Asian Countries. I only stay a few days but maximum is 2 weeks only. I travel like 2 times every year which is not bad at all. My country is issuing machine-readable passport and its cover is brown. My passport is not yet expired, not until 2011 so I can't renew it to get the new passport. I am booked to go to Hong Kong on the first week of September and I can't wait for it.

My new or present passport which is said to be machine readable is my 5th one and it has color brown cover. The previous one (4th) has green cover and there was a canada visa in it which I used when I traveled to Canada in 2007. My first passport was also covered green and was first used when I traveled with my sons to Singapore and Indonesia. A second passport which has a red cover was issued to me when I traveled officially. The red covered passport is used when a gov't employee or official go on foreign trips officially. Otherwise I use the other passport on private traveling. I had to re-apply for a new passport before the expiration of my passport whenever I want to travel overseas.

I am on my 4th or 5th. I got my first one was I was probably 4 or 5. They have all been blue. Most of my passports have several stamps. My favorite one has stamps from every continent except for Europe, as I had gone to Europe only on my passport before that one. Now I am on the passport after that one and I have only been to London and Prague with it. My second one has a visa from Turkey. My third or fourth also has a visa from Turkey along with a visa or two for China (cannot remember if both are in same passport or if I had a fourth one after first visit to China and am now on my 5th).
