Is Love your RELIGION?

Hi, friends. I was wondering on the fact that in this materialistic world, a thing called RELIGION also reserves a special place. Many people consider their religion superior, while others don`t like their children to marry in other religions. Some people make politics on the base of this religion, while others even kill others to prove that they are from a superior religion. Certain people claim their religion owns a specific country while others say the particular religion is a migrant in their country. Some people say their religion is in minority, so they deserve a reservation while others recruit or make admissions on the basis of people`s religions. There so many things this so-called religion takes its place in, that i think, it is not possible to site in my whole life. So, if this word RELIGION is so important, i think we all should know your religion. So, what is your RELIGION?: Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhism, bla bla bla... Or Is it just LOVE?

Hello good point raised my friend. I think we all should know our religion and should follow each and every line whats written in his/her own religious books. This statement of mine is not an offending one to those who think religion causes castesism and causes some mis-happenings in their country. But I have said the above statement just because no religion teaches us to be indulged in castesism, or other things which a person thinks might be evovlved due to different religions. Rather these all things are the dirty thinkings of human mind. So I want to say that one should always follow the advices given in their religion and all lead to the same concept to help the mankind in the best way you can. I am HINDU and I love my religion and truly respect other religions also. Happy MyLotting.

I dont have a religion per se, just a belief in Christ and God. There is too much of man in religions instead of following the teachings of Christ. I think one should not blindly follow what a pastor teaches, but read the scriptures for yourself because there are many scriptures that can be interpreted in many ways and it is the responsibility of each person to gain their own knowledge. As for the love of my beliefs, I love them so much it is the one thing in the world I would not change for anyone.

Hi, thedeathknight. I agree that all so called religions have their basics that lead to the same path. But, their interpretations by different people are different and that is what leads to problems. Also, you just said that you are a HINDU and you respect other religions, it is good that you respect, but still you are discriminating yourself from others on the basis of religion. It is possible that you say to a person, "Yours and my religions are different, but i respect your religion". It may be true that you really respect his religion but you are making him realize that you are different from him on the basis of religion. So, what is the guarantee that the other person will also think like you do. In short, just dividing on the lines of religion is something that provokes religious discrimination no matter whether you respect theirs or not. Also, if the basis of all religions is love, then why not leave all religions and take up one religion called LOVE? Hi, archie. I agree with all your thoughts. Religion is just a name that divides people on the basis of one single belief in God, just giving Him different names. But, you just said you will not change your beliefs for anyone. This means that you consider your interpretation of the scriptures as perfect. Well, don`t take it to offend, but, the attitude of arrogance and brittleness and lacking the property to be moulded, is something that none of the scriptures teaches, as i think. Thanks for your response, both of you. Happy Mylotting!!

Hello Thecreationist. Thanks for your comments. I don't think saying that I am of that or this religion has any problem in it and about the others thought, I had already said that all should take advice from his/her own religion and respect others too. Then there would be no discrimination as all are there in human minds not in religion. Happy MyLotting.

hello, RELIGION as superior/minor? It's not what my religion is...it's not being superior or minor. My religion teaches us only one SUPERIOR...and it's GOD ALMIGHTY ...not the RELIGION. We live in this world with different religion and beliefs. And yes, each one claiming to be teaching the truth, about God and everything, but, their doings denied that they are having God. Well,i respect every religion and beliefs,it's their beliefs,we can never do anything to make them changed what they believed in,unless they will find it to their self that, they are not doing the real thing.(killings in the name of religion). The true GOD BELIEVERS are the ones who had the real essence of LOVE in their hearts and in their deeds.Doing all the good things to others, even disregarding their own needs just to help others that needs more help. That is my belief, loving others and not loving oneself alone.

Hi, jaiho2009. Your views are simply admirable. I agree to each and every word you said. GOD is one who created us all. It was not GOD who created the religions but it was the man who did that. When God made us without religious discrimination, then, why do we divide ourselves? Keep up your goodness and keep loving all. Thanks for your response. Happy Mylotting!!

Hi there Creationist, I believe ALL religions have something to offer about God. But the POINT of all religions should be.... LOVE....this is the ESSENCE behind all religions. Unfortunately the essence is lost and people get caught in the trimmings. When one LOVES God then he loves HIS children too....and wants to also find out about all the different ways God has taught his children....So this makes me study all religions, and in doing so I find that I learn something different and unique about God in each religion which just adds to the overall miraculous flavour of LOVE. Each religion can actually enrich the experience of God. Its abit like God having different facets/personalities....a person maybe a son, brother, Uncle, father, Grandfather.....and in each of these relationships he has a unique flavour. It's abit like tasting milk in all sorts of varieties, curd, yoghurt, icecream, milkshake...bla bla... I basically never say I am of this religion or that, I always say I am spiritual, and this allows me to boogie with any religion including all atheists! I really don't think it matters whether you are an atheist or of a certain religion, or how much knowledge you know about your religion....what matters IS HOW MUCH LOVE YOU HAVE IN YOUR HEART. So in my experience if somebody says they are a Hindu or a Christian, I don't feel distanced by it all, because when I am with a Christian I am one too...a LOVER of Christ....when I am with a Muslim.....I am lover of Allah.....I can identify with all. Being of different religions is like people being of different nationalities....there is a difference.....but it can be a healthy difference, it can be exciting...if viewed correctly.....and life would be boring without differences if we were all the same. However, LOVE must be the priority and not the differences and with this LOVE burning bright we should all embrace each other and learn from eachother. Love has the ability to melt all barriers....and in the pit of love..... everything dissolves.....all names, forms and tags.....nothing remains accept the heartbeat of Soul.....LOVE. Angelie
