We know how much this movie made a big hit in the worldwide movie screen. I didn't like this movie after seeing it. People said that this is the biggest and the best movie ever made. I don't think so. BUt anyways, with many movies that had been after Titanic through the years. Do you still get the chance to get your copy of Titanic and watch it at home. if you have a copy of dvd or vhs tape of the movie. or is just sitting on your shelf forgotten already as the titanic itself. What is the greatest ever now for you. Is it Twilight, Harry POtter, Transformers?

Different people can have different opinions. I had watched this movie, and it's OK, but it is not as moving as I expected to. Perhaps I feel that it is not suitable for Rose to love Jack when she had a Fiancé. And it seems that she loved Jack in quite a short time and I doubted whether this kind of love could be so strong. I love China

Well, I never thought the best movie ever was the Titanic! So I guess this is very easily answered no by me! I just didn't get what everyone was raving about when the movie came out. Was a good movie, but not a great one in my opinion! Just not my taste in movies I guess.

Well I never thought that Titanic was the best movie ever, even if it is technically the most commercially succesful movie of all time. Saying that I do still watch it probably once a year as it is a good movie, just not great. For me you have to go back to 1972 for the best movie ever made, that being The Godfather. Why? because it has everything, an amazing story, drama, action, horror, comedy, romance as well as phenominal performances from a cavalcade of stars. The fact that 37 years later it is still revered as being a great movie shows the quality of it which is something I doubt you will still be saying about Titanic or any of the other movies which you mention.

Since I will also say the same thing I do not want to waste time responding.I think commenting to your response is enough. You pointed out really well and I can never agree more .It was the perfect movie, the perfect blend of everything, a beautiful story and brilliantly portrayed. I brought out stars like Al Pachino. Considering I was born almost 2 decades after the movie was made and watched it after the new millennium, I was completely thrilled and fascinated. It is unbelivable.Though I must say a few movies after The Godfather are also worth mentioning. The likes of Shawshank Redemption, The Gladiator and The Dark Knight are simply brilliant, far better than the Titanic, if I must say.

titanic is one of my ten best ever. still, i am enthralled by the number of times kids of around 5 years old watch it. a nephew of mine aged 5 years has literally watched it for a year. sometimes every day, my sister says. and not only her, i have heard this from other people, too, not only friends.

Contrary to many other people think in this discussion, in my perspective Titanic is indeed one of the greatest movie ever made. It is actually about a simple love story but with the whole Titanic thingy as their background. A great movie does not need a very grandeur story or groundbreaking, sometimes a simple one can make a great movie. I will put Titanic with other great movies: Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, Sound Of Music, Godfather, Star Wars, Matrix, and the last great epic in this decade : The Lord Of The Rings trilogy

I have NEVER felt that Titanic was the best movie ever. It's hard to say what is because everyone has different tastes and sensibilities. Even for one person to name a favourite I feel would be hard to do. It is for me. I enjoy various genres immensely and it's difficult even to nominate a favourite genre. I also tried to narrow down a favourite movie by actors. I have lots of actors I enjoy, way too many to choose a favourite. Suffice to say, watching movies is a favourite pastime of mine

while i thought it was a really good movie i never thought it was the best movie ever. i think that GONE WITH THE WIND is the best movie ever and i could watch it over and over again. it is a matter of personal preference for certain. i enjoy movies as they entertain and give us all a chance to escape and experience things we might not otherwise experience in life. i like going to the movies and watching them at home as well.

I enjoyed Titanic when I first saw it and cried my eyes out for the duration but I have seen it again and I am a little over it now and I am not sure I would classify it the greatest movie. I have seen others since that were probably better like “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button” for example; I saw it ages ago and I still can’t stop raving about it!

No I never really thought that but the genre of the movie The Titanic was never really my style so it's not really a fair judgement. I'm a bigger fan of independent films because they usually have really interesting ideas and writing in them. I usually don't like mainstream movies because a lot of them are just kind of the same and written in the same way. All targeted towards a large general audience.

i personally like titanic....i was not allowed in the theater to see the movie, 'cause i am too young , but anyhow i watched the movie, but i could not understand the movie on that time, but when i reached 16, i saw the movie, the real love feelings sprung into my heart...the impression will never get erased.. i took 4 days actually to recover from the effect of the movie..now iam 19 ..i still like the movie...its one of the best, but not the best of all... i like some other movies...i love movies which entertain me... ice age, Madagascar, open season.. i love these movies...they are the best ever...the story line was always great.. if some thing very sentimental , i could go for 'cars' the best from pixar studios..

Never felt that it was the greatest movie. It had good special effects and well directed. I think I have just watched it once. Did not feel like watching the movie again.

Titanic was a great movie. But I do not compare Titanic with movies like Harry Potter and Transformers. Maybe Twilight if you wish to only call Titanic a love movie. It was also a movie was trying to explain love between two people in a real life event. Twilight in the other hand is a fantasy that involves love. Titanic is a very great romance movie. I believe there are many out there but Titanic has lots of history which is a good brand name for a movie that carries on if your born during that time of the release of the movie. God bless

I've never seen it and don't plan to. I think the best movie ever made was probably The Wizard of Oz or The Final Countdown

I loved that movie and I still love it although it's definitely not one of my favourites. I still love that old classic 'The Towering Inferno' starring Paul Newman and a few other major greats! I do love the Harry Potter films as well and they are a great form of escapism for me, I just love to escape into those strange worlds! I have the Titanic on the original vhs tape, old news now but there you go, I will always cherish the tape. Andrew

wow I thought it was only me. I did not understant what they big hype was. Ok maybe because it was a trajedy at sea. I understand that part but It was just like a rich, poor movie. The rich got saved first, whatever. The one thing that bothered me was leonardo did not get recognized for the oscars, but then again he was representing the poor. I think the girl one or nominated I could be wrong. I though Leonardo did a great job but it is not a movie I will watch over and over.
