The man we call president is in Mexico and makes the following statement. He might as well say welcome all illegals into the USA land of free health care for illegals. We need a health care plan than does NOT include our tax dollars paying to keep illegals healthy so they can take the jobs that our American citizen who are out of work would love to have. Our country is going to hell and it get worse every day with every new frigging speech our White House (p)resident makes. Obama: Immigration Overhaul Now on Hold Monday, August 10, 2009 1:55 PM GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- President Barack Obama says immigration reform is important but says other priorities such as his health care overhaul and financial regulation are going to come first. Obama said on Monday that he expects to see draft legislation for immigration overhaul by the end of the year. He says he doesn't expect to be able to snap his fingers and change the politically charged immigration system. Obama expects a fight regardless of his standing in the polls and declares that he is ready for a fight. He says the system is broken and nobody can deny it. He says, however, that changing the immigration system is going to have to wait until next year while he focuses on other priorities. http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/obama_immigration/2009/08/10/246029.html?s=al&promo_code=8521-1 BTW: Latest: Illegals to Cost $11 Billion for Health Care - Obama Health Plan to Cover 12 Million Illegals http://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/obama_illegals_healthcare/2009/07/19/237484.html

See, IF and only IF ALL AMERICANS were able to get health care and job help and housing help and education help and THEN we helped other people, then I would be all for helping them! However - the problem is that we are helping those people FIRST and stiffing our own citizens and that is just WRONG! How do all those politicians not see that??

This bugs me. Let me state for the record (and to all: if you don't like me, I don't care, I wish I could implement this and if I were the president, don't think I wouldn't) that if I were running things, I would deport ALL illegals. ALL of them. Immediately. Any illegal in the country would immediately and automatically not qualify for ANY benefit, no matter what. No healthcare, no housing, no job assistance, no welfare, no food stamps, no nothing. NOTHING. The only people who would qualify for any taxpayer funded benefits (which is everything) would have to prove American citizenship. If you have dual citizenship, that's fine, as long as you have paid into the system, you could benefit. I agree. We need a health care plan that will ONLY take care of CITIZENS. This means that the ONLY people who will benefit from this government subsidized health plan would be people who actually contributed to it via taxes or employer contributions. I also believe that people who are happy with their current ins and health care should be able to opt out. I know I don't want the government having any hand in any decision about MY health care, so I would prefer to keep MY health care and make MY own decisions. I also believe that immigration needs to be overhauled. If you come here without the intention of UPFRONT declaring yourself and intent to become a citizen (with someone knowing so you are held accountable for it), then you should be removed and not given an opportunity. This is seriously like having a naughty kid who KNOWS he's being naughty, and LETTING HIM GET AWAY WITH IT INSTEAD OF PUNISHING HIM! so many people are up in arms about parents who let their kids misbehave, why are we ignoring the multitudes of NAUGHTY ADULTS?? I don't get it!

I am not an Obama fan, but we must not be such a terrible country to live in, if so many people keep coming here. Yes, there are a lot of things broken, and I do not believe they will be fixed during this term in office of this administration. It seems like life just gets more complicated all the time. I doubt that a modern president would ever be so politically incorrect as to deport foreigners, even if that is what is needful of doing.

I should have said contemporary. I knew about Eisenhower, I had read the post, and have visited his Memorial, and Museum. I actually was referring to him when I talked about deportation He was president fifty years ago. The people of the last twenty years or so are the ones that get so overly politically correct.

I think the modern politicians think "politically correct" to mean feather my own nest by tax dollars.

I agree that we are a great country to live in. Especially when illegal immigrants can get free health care! You said "I doubt that a modern president would ever be so politically incorrect as to deport foreigners, even if that is what is needful of doing" President Eisenhower is a comparatively modern president and he did it along with others. Please see my comment to the response above yours.

I have to agree with him, the system is broken. Can he fix it? Nope. Can Congress fix it? Nope. So, concentrating on other things such as the health insurance makes perfect sense to me Here in California, where there are what sometimes seems like more illegals than regular citizens, most of them are doing jobs that the average American citizen won't take, either because the work is too hard or the pay is too crappy. We're always going to have illegals here in the U.S. so I guess the basic question is: Do you want these people here healthy or sick?

You said...Can he fix it ? Nope. How wrong you are! Three of our former presidents did it I guess they had balls. They were HOOVER , TRUMAN AND EISENHOWER Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me. But, back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work. Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal's after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans. And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 4 million Mexican nationals! The program was called 'Operation Wet* back' so that American WWII and Korean veterans had a better chance at jobs. It took 2 Years, but they deported them! Now, if they could deport the illegals back then, they can sure do it today!! If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wet* back into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself. Reminder. Don't forget to pay your taxes... 12 million Illegal Aliens are depending on you. http://geeks.pirillo.com/forum/topics/three-presidents-already?page=1&commentId=2300301%3AComment%3A1666129&x=1#2300301Comment1666129

Excellent idea... and I keep saying it. Deport deport deport. I don't see why the simplest solution is IGNORED by so many in favor of making them happy. They don't need to be happy. THEY AREN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE. And we wonder why we have no money and are running out of resources! You wouldn't invite over 15 strangers to your house and let them run your air conditioner and your heat, your electricity, eat all your food, drive your cars, etc, would you? I WOULDN'T. I would tell them it wasn't a hotel, it's MY HOUSE and MY RESOURCES are to take care of MY FAMILY. They can GET OUT. If they were my friends and I'd invited them over, it would be different! So yes. If we've deported people before with good results, by all means, it's TIME TO DO IT AGAIN! NOW!! BEfore things get worse!! But Obama is a bleeding heart and he's not going to take the bull by the horns and do it. Shame on him. It's his fault America is bankrupt. don't bother coming to America. It's not any better than Mexico or China!

I don't give a crap about whether they are sick or healthy. They are criminals and the (p)resident White House tenent is treating them with kid gloves. Send them ALL home. I would even let Nobama use my tax dollars to deport them it would be cheaper in the long run that paying for all the benfits they get.
