I have a question about Tagging on MyLot, please

Hello SurveyPrincess and welcome to mylot. No need to worry every member got the message about improper tagging. That message was sent out because some members don't agree with others discussions and put things like "stupid" or other insulting words in the discussion rather than putting a word that is relevant to the discussion itself. You can skip it all together that's fine. If you come across something where you'd like to enter a keyword just make sure it's relevant to the discussion for example if the discussion is about dogs you might enter "Black Lab" or "Golden Retriever" or Puppy. Don't worry yourself too much as long as you follow the rules you'll be fine.

Yeah i got the same alert too. I think skipping tags caused this in my case

i also got such alerts mylot still am also using tags all the time i do not know what is wrong with my tags,i always post tags for the respone , i do not know why what is the problem with my tags, i think i should make more care while puuting the tags, let me see others opnion about the tags,how should i put the tags how are the tags useful, what ate benefits of putting the tags, how is it important in the mylot account, do tags help in earning money

According to the rules you cannot just skip the tagging process. You must tagg to the discussions so that the users who search for it get the required information easily.

I use tags for my own discussions, i just make them of the key points. Say my discussion was about mylot and in particular then i would tag "Mylot" and "Discussions"! When im responding to other peoples discussions i dont really tag usually unless its something i think is very important. No ones ever told me not tagging was bad! I just thought it was better if you did tag because its more helpful!

to day when i open mylot i have 1 alert because i never give tags when i give respons. i thing give atags is important, but i don't know why. after i got alert i never forget give tags because i am affraid my member willbe banned.

hi yes indeed,your tags should have to do with the topic of the dicussion you respond to, maybe something you have saidin your response will trigger a few one word or two tags for example if you are responding to a discussion on proper tagging you migh use tags should refer to the topic of the discussion, tags should not rude or malicious. now these are sentences but are permissible, and do refer to the topic. hope this helps i must be doing my tags correctly as I didnt get an alert.

I only do tags when I post new discussions, I tag that is related to the topic, I don't tag any contains mature contents and nothing is about to the topics.

I also wonder about how to use it correctly. I got an alert today, and I am not sure why I use the tags wrongly. I always tag a post with the proper and relative words and never skip.

yeah i have the same question actually because i got that alert thing from mylot and i started to wonder was i doing bad tagging. but just to be on the safe side i think you should tag most of all the discussions because the skip thing is there for a reason if you don't know exactly how to tag something just skip it. and yes i don't want to get cancled ether especially since i hit pay out just try your best hun.

I am new here and a little worried.I like this site and don't want to do anything that would shut me down. I was wondering as well. Sometimes I tag and with the response I don't know what to put for a tag. Is is ok to leave no tags or what amount is good one,two,three. I read the rules but it does not say how much is good enough.I really like this cite happy posting.

Hello SurveyPrincess09, I too received the alert. They should have a provision whereby we can see and modify our content simultaneously while tagging. I find that we have to close the tag screen and go back to our content to check whether that specific word in that specific form is there or not. For example, eat can eating, or eats, or ate. I wish Mylot people would do something about it.

I was scared also when I receive the alert, I don't think I did anything wrong in tagging. Anyways thanks for this I discussion, I learned a lot of things in tagging now.
