What do you do when you feel tired during the day

It's 11:15 AM, and I am so tired. I have errands, but don't feel like doing them. I feel like I should be doing something constructive, but all the things I need to do require driving. What do you do when you feel tired during the day? Do you roll back into bed, or do you just make yourself do what you need to do?

I very often have a little nap during the day - usually about 30 minutes. It's really worth it to just lie down with your feet up even if you don't actually fall completely asleep. It's strange at first if you are not used to it, but after a few times it works brilliantly, because you wake up feeling much better, have more energy and get much more achieved. It's like recharging your batteries!

Thankyou for the best response. I am glad that you tried having a nap and that it worked. I think it is a good plan to try and set aside a little time everyday for a nap if you can!

If it is the weekend I will let myself take a short nap - I often feel energized after doing so. Unfortunately most of the time I feel tired is during the work day and napping is not an option. So I grab another cup of coffee and keep on going.

If you've had enough sleep the night before and you're tired during the day you need to either drink something with caffine in it and get yourself moving or just get yourself moving. When your body is at rest everything slows down and that can make you feel tired. This is why people who spend a lot of time in front of a computer are encouraged to get up every couple of hours and move around. Gotta get that heart pumping and the oxygen flowing if you want to feel energenic.

It feels so good to lie down on your back and close your eyes and just let everything else slip from your mind. Although when you've let things you just gotta do wait for too long there's nothing left to do but get off your butt and just get up on and do what needs to be done. That's life !

I think you need to take a nap. Usually I feel tired during the day if I didn't have enough sleep at the night. I will make some drink, like juice or grab some snacks. Try to relax, drink juice and eat snacks. If it still can't help, sleep about 1 hours. If you in your home, take a bath can help too Hope you will find a way to feel energized again!

Normally a nap works good for me, if I feel that way and I don't have to work. If I have to work then that is not possible. I know my wife has been resting alot lately with her being sick. So I am sort of being mom and dad to the kid's to help out, my mom and sister are helping out to. But when she is tired feeling she nap's and feels much better when she wake's up.

If I am home, I crawl into bed and watch television. It will put me to sleep within a few minutes. If I am out and about, I try to grab a cup of coffee or soda. The caffeine will give me an extra boost. When I'm staying with our grandbaby, I just tough it out because she needs my undivided attention.

When I feel tired which is usally around 4 to 6 pm I will just lay down and shut my eyes even though I wont take a nap I will just simply close my eyes since to me thats as good as a nap and most of the time it works. Since if I were to take a nap it would ruin my sleep schedule.

I generally make myself do those necessary things,a nd as a result, I tend to feel better later. I have had many times that if things can be put off until another day, I will put them off and just spend the day being lazy on the couch.

Laying on the couch with a good book sounds really good. I understand doing the things that needs to be done. It will give a sense of accomplishment.
