Which character did you like best in Practical Magic?

As you know Sandra Bullock played the subdued Sally and Nicole Kidman played the fiery Gillian. Now which character did you like best? I liked Sally. And, also, did any of you not like Aidan Quinn? I think he is one of the cutest little pieces of manhood on the face of the Earth. I wish they would make more witchy movies. How about you?

OMG--now we're talking. Practical Magic has got to be one of my all time favorite movies...in fact the WHOLE cast was terrific..wouldn't you just love to have Aunts like Aunt Jett and Fran? I love Sandra Bullock in everything she does and I kind of identify with her Sally character as I tend to be "subdued" in many ways--though at other times a bit fiery like Gilly. Would you believe for some reason, it was Practical Magic that got me interested in the Pagan/Wicca path? (Among other reasons) There were some "glitches" to the story...like when that woman wanted the aunts to do a love spell and a dove is sacrificed...in Wicca its against principles to harm anything..also when at the end the women are trying to banish Angel (Gilly's deceased boyfriend)--they use orange color candles...for banishing spells it has to be black...LOL Uh and yes...love Aiden Quinn

Yes, I like Sandra too. She has such a cute personality. I am too. Ya, they do have to take literary license with things to make the story. Why I don't know. I also liked the last few minutes when they fly off the house at Hallow's Eve. Aiden has aged alittle since then but is still a cutie. Can't recall what I saw him in recently. So did you watch it? I have a copy of it too. May watch it tomorrow or today now I guess. Teehee.

oh yes. that would be so cool i dont know why they didnt do more. like maybe 2 or 3. they do so many of the stupid scarey ones over and over. i do like the comedy ones with Sandra Bullock. i just love her. she'd be my favorite. i like that they did Miss Congeniality 2. yes, Aidan is a sweetie handsome fella alright.

I really enjoyed this movie as well. Sandra is so cool! I admire her personality and beauty and business sense. And Aidan is not bad at all either.

It's really hard to choose because I really liked the entire cast of characters. I think I definitely prefer Sally of Gillian though. She just wasn't my favorite. I didn't really like how showy she was. She did have moments in the movie where I really liked her character but I really liked Sally. I think it's a lot easier to identify with her than it is Gillian. Also, I really liked the Aunts too. They were great characters. I liked how they were very eccentric and simply did not care what people thought about them because they were who they were, there was no changing it, so they simply lived their lives to the fullest. I think that's a good idea to have when it comes to living life.

As much as I love both Sally and Gillian, I think that part of me still prefers Sally. Both are very different and interesting characters. However, Sally seems to have a little bit more of a common sense, which I like.

She was an endearing character wasn't she? And I think she was more grounded as well. Thank you.

That is the best movie ever! I can watch that movie as many times as it is on. I think I liked Gillian the best. Nicole Kidman was perfect in that role. Well..they were all perfect for their roles. I do wish they would do more movies like that.
