I remember on Sundays he would come on the screen and introduce what ever story was going to be shown. Somethings there was some higinks with a character or something cute going on in the introduction as well. Do you remember Walt Disney and what praticular movies, shows, characters do you identify with the most? I liked Tinker Bell, Cinderella and Bambi. Wasn't Bambi the cutest? The rabbits, skunks and the whole story was so sweet. What are your memories?

Hahaha. When I was a kid, I watched "sleeping beauty" and I imagined myself as 'princess aurora'. I have watched it a hundred times because that was my first favorite animation movie. I have also watched walt disney's animation like Peter Pan, Cinderella and a lot more. My only wish at that time is to go to walt disney and to become an animator but sad to say, I didn't achieve my goals to become animator......

I remember Walt Disney well. His Sunday night program was a time when every thing else stopped at our house. To think it all started with a real live mouse. I remember watching the Steamboat Willy cartoons on the TV.We watched them almost every Saturday morning. You can see one at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TPbpvP-okM I think my favorite was Pacos Bill and Babe the Blue Ox from his early years. My favorite Live actor movie is Old Yeller. I think that Walt would turn over in his grave if he knew the direction his nephew, Michael Eisner has take the company.

Hi celticeagle, Its great to think, while remembering Walt Disney.. How much hard work he had done to suuceed.. Especially the turning point of Creating Walt Disney. The guy who made my childhood rich! The guy who taught me the meanings of adventure, love, hatred, mysteries, quests and above all "Friendship" with those amazing characters of Aladdin, Genie, Jasmine, Yago, Abu, Mermaid (Ariel), Chip n Dale, Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie, etc., etc., Cindrella is also my 'Most favorite' I think watching those Cartoons too made me in having some good characters. Walt Disney is a person who will never forgotten. Thanks for Remembering Walt Disney. Have a nice sunday!

That was a cute one! For me it was 101 Dalmations. I wore out the comic book. I still enjoy watching it. Love the communication between the animals and mean character Cruella.

Seeing Walt Disney introduce the Sunday night movie was great! It was a real Sunday family time. The family sitting down watching a classic movie together. The movies always had a value to them or important leasson to take away. It's sad that they don't come on anymore. I think families need this time to connect to each other rather than everyone in different rooms watching different shows or playing video games. We're so disconnected now a days.

I think families need to go back to that way of leaving. Actually spending time together.

I think most everyone loved Walt Disney, celticeagle. I know that I still do to this day. My memories go wayyy back. Cinderella was one of my favorites, and Bambi is also a classic. I think the last of the regular weekly shows aired on Sunday evenings. The kids and I would all gather around the TV set each week. He was a very talented man who provided many hours of viewing pleasure.

WOW! I would have to say that I have never seen him. Now that I think about it I don't think of Walt Disney as a person. I have always just thought of it as a brand. Hrmm! I am going to have to look him up now.

Hey celtic! That just took me right back to Sunday nights when I was just a little girl watching our black and white tv set and having Walt Disney come into our house with his wonderful smile and pleasant voice telling us about whatever we were going to see for that particular week! And it was always something wonderful each and every week! I just loved him! What an absolutely incredibly brilliant man Mr Disney was! And we have so many wonderful memories of him that will live on forever! Thanks for making me smile tonight remembering a very warm and fond memory of my childhood~

Yep, I remember good ol' Walt. Brilliant man. I remember conversations he would always have with Jimminy Cricket. I remember going to the theater to see Bambi. I was about 5 or so. During the scene where Bambi's mother gets shot, I cried so hard, Mom had to leave the theater with me. Thus began a lifetime of inability to watch animal movies without getting too emotional. To this day, I refuse to watch a movie where the main characters are animals. I will watch the animated ones, but the real-life ones, forget it. I don't want to be a blubbering idiot in a movie theater! I loved the Little Mermaid as well, but my all-time favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. LOVE that movie! My husband and I are huge Looney Tunes addicts, but there is a special place in our hearts for Disney. We went to Disney World last year in the spring, and we had a wonderful time! We can't wait to go back once we have kids and they are old enough to appreciate the place.
