Good Morning Everyone. I'm up early today, I am off to a family reunion. I am part Miami Indian (Native American). I am going to our Miami Indian Reunion, this is our 107th reunion, of course I haven't been to all of them. We have a good turn out and people come from all over to attend. I live in Ohio and the Reunion is in Indiana, its a long drive about 3 1/2 hours but worth it. August seems to be a good month for family reunions, have you been to one this year, will you be going to one this year? I believe families are so important and we need to take the time and get together. To all my friends out in Mylot land, have a safe and happy Sunday, see you all when I get back later today.

That is neat. I live in Indiana. I have not been to any family reunions for about 4 years now. The last one I went to, wasn't too pleasant. I am not sure if I ever want to do that again. I hope you have a nice time.

Hi, its nice to see you. Had a real nice time. Our reunion is in Wabash, IN right on Rt. 24. Its always the third Sunday in August, we had a big turnout. Lots of people and lots of food. Reunions can be nice but they can also be not so nice. Hopefully for you if you go to another reunion it will be a nice one. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hi Slick, Its so nice that you got to get together with your family. Families are so important, we all need to take the time and keep our families together. We had a good time, safe trip, lots of people and lots of good food. The reunions have been going on for over a hundred years, we still have a good turn out each year. To us, its not just a simple get together, its part of our heritage, we don't want it to die off. The elders have to teach the youngens and keep the traditions alive. As always its so nice to see you, take care.

we did have a lot of family die off, which was so sad for us, so we stopped the reunions for awhile but now we are going full blast again...This last one we had was great, but we will always miss our loved ones that are gone....What we do is have a table set up for the ones we have lost and we have a picture of each of then in a frame, my sister thought of that and it made our reunion much happier...

I haven't been to a family reunion since I was a kid. I don't think my Moms side of the family has ever had one. My Dad's side used to have a huge bonfire at the end of summer and everyone (most of his side of the family live in the same town) would show up. We'd grill, roast marshmallows, play games and visit. My Stepmom had a family reunion with her family every year, it was great. There was tons of food, family, games and everything. They'd pick a park and ppl would show up from everywhere. Actually my Dad and Stepmom live several states away from me so it's been well over 20 years since I've been to a reunion with them. I do have great memories of them though. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

So Polly, how was the trip? I'm sure it was fun for you. I love family reunion; it's a great way to bond with other families and sometimes long-distant relatives too. What I love about living far apart from others is the travel thing and like the drive through and stuff like that; super exciting and when meet once in awhile, it would surely be a momentous and joyous occasion ever.

Hello fellow buckeye, Go Bucks!! I was in Arizona in the summertime, it was horribly hot. The pavement was hot enough to fry an egg. People say its a dry heat and it doesn't feel as hot, crap too, if its 104 it feels like 104, it doesn't matter if its dry or humid. Its still hot, the humidity does add to the heat it makes it sticky. We have had a really nice summer, not hot at all, just a few hot days. Thanks for stopping by....

I went to a family reunion in July. My sister's and I went to Louisiana to meet my dad's family for the first time. It took 48 hours to get there by road, from California, but it was worth it. My dad has a lot of people in his immediate family. They are all colorful to say the least. I had fun though, LOL.

Well, in a certain sense I went to a family reunion just last weekend. My cousin is going to have a baby later this month so there was a big baby shower for her. But before that there was a family reunion in Arizona two years ago. Four years ago there was one in Atlanta, GA. The biggest one that we've had in recent history though was six years ago in Cincinnati. It was all of the members of both sides of my father's family. There were over 150 people there, and unfortunately there were some that weren't able to attend. I wish that we were able to have family reunions more often, but it is difficult with such a large family to try to get everything organized.

What you do, sounds wonderful. It is hard to get everybody together and get it organized. Our reunion is in a park every year, always the third Sunday in August, rain or shine. They have been going on for over 100 years. It took over an hour for everyone to go thru the food line, lots of people and lots of food. There was probably 10 to 12 picnic tables loaded with food, there was still lots of food left over. Thanks for stopping by.
