I Need A Creative Idea - HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Okay, so I've been hanging out with this really nice guy for the past month. He is going to be starting college on Wednesday and I would really like to do something nice for him, but I'm not really sure what to do. I just want to kinda wish him luck. I know he is a little nervous and excited as well. I thought about a card and maybe writing a poem or something but I'm not really sure what to write. Does anyone have any good ideas on something I could write about or maybe have another creative idea that would be really neat to do for him?

Take him to Denny's and buy a piece of pie and coffee for a "going away party". Even though he may not be leaving town, he's starting college, going on a journey. Or get him a helium balloon, bake him a cake or buy one, get him some book covers that are cool.

Hey Dragon54u, you were thinking the same way as I was when you mentioned baking him a cake, I guess you know the secret that a way to a guy's heart is through his belly. happy mylot!

How about presenting him a good fountain pen. This idea seems old,but it will be touchy and he can remember you all the way through in his college life.Every time he use it he will be filled with your fond memory.Just give it out as a surprise gift and sure,he will thank you.Cheers!

I always liked to get a new notebook for such an occasion. It was always an example of the fresh start I was going to make. Make sure you include a nice card with a handwritten note, too. Just my idea!

Card on Success - This can be a card to wish someone success, or framed up into a nice souvenir.
Hello singlemommy,Here's a card I designed which may be appropriate for you to give to this person to wish him every success for his college education. It is fully customizable and you can personalize it by adding the person's name to the card. In fact, the greetings can all be changed even if you wish. This card, when completed, can be printed out with a good quality printer and folded into a card, or framed. It can be a good momento that reminds the person of you each time he sees it. If you think this suits you and you are interested, just pm me, and I will help you realize this (put in desired text if you wish, name of person, etc). I can send the actual size to you, because the one you see loaded up in myLot is shrunk in size. Victor

If I may add, if you customize this card and have the person's name on it, print it and frame it up for him to put it on his desktop, you don't need to think out other words (like for the inside of a card). All the wishes and words of wisdom you need to convey are already found on the front. That solves your other dilemna.

iF he is going to college he probably doesn't have a lot of money. You could get him a phone card or perhaps something he wouldn't necessarily get for himself that he would like. If you want to write something you could go online and search for poems on friendship or some theme you know he likes. Maybe some aspect of life you and him have talked about.

He isn't going away, he is staying here in town, but still I'm really proud of him. He's been through a lot and I know he is starting down a road that will lead him to a whole lot of success in the future.

You have every reason to be proud of him, I figured if he went away then he would miss you so the pic would help, now I am all out of ideas, I really do suck at this I am the person that will give someone money to buy their own gift. if I think of something I will return.

Not sure I can top all these brilliant and creative ideas! I like the cake idea and the poetry. The notebook is probably the one I would go for or one of those leather bound organisers; you can write a poem for him and sign it on the inside. Does he have a backpack or something to carry his stuff in?

A small gift basket of comforts is always nice. You know little things you know he likes like favorite cookies or something. Nothing extravagant just little.

I am being as creative as I can get. Here's what to do! Pierce both his ear and give him only one ear ring. That should make him think of you every time he looks into a mirror! The other, dangle it with a string around your neck, fully in sight as he watches, and tell him he'll get it when he comes back to you, a romantic keeps sake! If he agrees it is relationship strong one as you think! Best of luck!

The card or the notebook sounds like a great idea. A nice little note wishing him luck on his newest endeavor would be a nice touch to either. Can't really think of much more that you could add. But good luck with it and I'm sure he will like whatever you do.

You could give him a nice notebook with poem inside. I tried writing a poem and i think it's pretty quick to write one. Voicing out your feelings would really help you. Tell him how much you're happy and excited with what's he's going through. You could also insert a nice bookmark that reminds him of the both of you. Your poem could go like this: "Hello _____, i have been thinking of a very nice gift to give, So far this one is the thing that i have outlived. Pretty soon you will be away, I guess i will miss you all the way. I hope you are happy and worry free cause i get too excited and nervous for you sweety." Kinda lame, but cute though.
