Buffalo wings or hot wings are something my grandson likes a lot. They seem to have originated at The Anchor Bar found in buffalo New York in 1964. Since then they have spread across the United states. We have a couple of place here called Carolina Wings that server them in varying degree of spiciness. I have learned to make these for my grandson. I thaw out the wings and blot them as dry as I can then bake them in the oven. When they are done I add the hot sauce. I use Louisiana hot sauce or Texas Pete's hot sauce. I'm wondering if you make yours different or what hot sauce do you use?

YOu know, I love to cook and usually pick up things that are a bit different from my Portuguse culinary treats, but winds is something I never thought of making myself. However we do like wings, so I'm not sure why I never thought of that.
I guess it has to do with the fact that wings were not - still aren't in places - even known back in Portugal.
The only things I remember doing with wings was rice with wings. None of the crispy good stuff LOL
Well, one idea to try :)

I like to eat hot wings sometimes too. I make them myself sometimes also but I use the hot wing packet. It is a powedery type of stuff. You roll your hot wings in it and then deep fry it. It is not really hot but you can add hot sauce to it if you like.

I used to get these as a take-out from a neighborhood place. I've never tried making them at home though because the ones I had were always fried in hot oil. I like your method of making them in the oven. Duh, why didn't I think of that lol. I always got mine with a mild buffalo sauce, and sometimes instead of the buffalo hot wings, I'd get the sweet and sour sauce. Gee, with your method I'll definitely be making some on my own, it would be a whole lot cheaper (and healthier too)! Thanks for the good tip.
