Yes, i can give, without getting anything in return. I recently joined a site, where there are people that need someone to be there for them. They often get advice, not always do i have cash to give out to them, but if i did, then i would certainly help some of those that are in the most desperate of situations. I do all that i can, and still, i need resources for all the different states, that help people with stuff, so that i can pass on the information to those people.

it is true that the things that we can give to others need not always be in terms of gifts with monetary value. those gifts with higher values done in loving care will always be appreciated by the recipient. good advices for those who have lost hopes or in deep troubles, open up for them a new avenue in life. sharing advices is actually sharing our very being with others. this kind of sharing is most valualble. it is good for you to have been into this kind of activity somehow.

I feel what you mean. I think that is one reason why I have trouble giving all the time. My dad taught me a saying once I wanted to share. Do not stop giving until the Lord stops giving to you. I took it that as never stop because the lord loves people and is always giving in someway. Take care and thanks for taking the time to respond.

to be honest with you, my friend, i believe that you have been giving so much of yourself each day without knowing it. we talk to people, we entertain people, we take care of people and many more things, without even thinking on how much effort we put into it. then, as we do it, we do not at all look forward to being compensated for it. see then how much it is that we are giving away time after time without seeking any compensation for it? as for material things, i am sure that you have been providing for the people you love, their needs. as you do this, you have been sacrificing even some of your needs that you can let go of. then again, there is no subsequent reward for it that you are looking forward to. my friend, it just so happens that there are times when we are not aware of how much a giver we are.

I give for everyday, the perfect example is my family. I provide for them,I care for them I love them. I give my whole life to them. I am not expecting that they will give back something in return, they are my family, everything I have is really for them. Like you , you are a mom, you gave your whole life to your child, do you expect to do the same of course not isn't it because you love them. About giving to others, I believe that is our purpose here on Earth, to give to those who have none and those things we haven't are provided by God, they will send other person to help us.It is like a cycle. But now I change what I believe in, I give and there is no problem if they can reward me or give it back to me, but If they will, I could be an excellent receiver, of course I will accept it.

If I had unlimited resources, I'd give things much more frequently than what I'm giving now. I get such gratification when I know that the things I give really do help those in worse condition than myself. After all everything we have is on loan to us from our All Mighty Father! I'd be lying if I said I never wanted something in return; we're human beings afterall. All in all, I get more pleasure giving.

My husband and I give 10% of all our earnings to charity every paycheck. Also we save all our change throughout the year and put it in the Salvation Army cans you see outside all the stores around Christmas time.

I actually give a lot without wanting anything in return. I found it to be more stressful and disappointing when you are expecting people to repay you or give you things because you gave to them. They ironic thing is I tend to automatically get things from other sources that I don't even ask for or expect when I am giving to others. It is a really cool experience but one that has been mentioned in the scriptures several times. They say it is better to give than to receive and I am finding that to be very true.
