What is the best pet you ever had? I had a really great dog that was a mixed breed when I was younger. The dog after that one was a nightmare. Guess they can't all be the best ones.

I had a dog that was named Christy, we got her at Christmas and she was really sweet and she was a Britney Setter.

That's a nice Christmas present. I never heard of Britney Setter before. Is that a large dog?

My first cat was SO smart! I loved her bunchs! My second "special" was The Doctor, and he was lots of fun and I loved him very much, and he was pretty smart. Scamp isn't smart, but he's beautiful and I love him very much. Now, the white-eared cat in my avatar is Rygel and he's a smart boy, Oliver, the kitten in my avatar isn't as smart as Ryg, but he's our baby, we've had him since he was a WEEK old!

Sounds like you really like cats. I do too. They are so easy to take care of. The only think I minded when I had cats was dealing with all the cat hair in the house.

I do love them and I just ignore the cat fur.

I have had a few best pets in my lifetime. I have had some bad ones in between too though. It is so hard to replace a good pet when something happens to them. I think we have to go through a bad pet to find the next good one afterwards.

I agree. Kind of like finding our spouses too.

Lets see my grandmothers dog was the best friend a lil kid could ever of had. But for me personally... it's our male cat Boots! He's very loveable and very tolerant of the kids. And of course speaks his mind when he's hungry or thirsty or is chasing down his siblings.

I think most cats are good with kids. What kind of dog did your grandmother have?

I love all my pets so much. But the one I will always remember the most is the one from my childhood and that might be why. She was a mixed breed of husky. Beautiful dog and she always waited for me to come home from school...like in Marley and me...I cried when I watched that scene because it brought all of it back.

Our neighbor when I was growing up had a husky too. Such a beautiful dog. I cried during Marley and Me too.

I had a wonderful pony as a child and I truly loved her, she knew many tricks and would hang out with me and my friends hoping that we would share our peanut butter sandwiches with her, she also like to drink coke out of a bottle. This was before we knew you shouldn't feed such things to horses.

I never met anyone before that had a pony as a child. Lucky you. I'm glad you have a lot of nice memories of her.

Sounds like a nice kitty. I think most cats have that "whatever" attitude. At least mine always did.
