My Pc sometimes has a weird problems. The problems are as follows - 1] Sometimes when I press the Ctrl key(in order to Copy and Paste or save) ` gets typed or ~ gets typed on the screen. 2] Another problem which occur sometimes is when I try to name a folder on the desktop. If I have Caps Lock On and I type a name, then the name gets typed in small Caps. If I don't have Caps Lock On, then the name gets typed in Large Caps. Such a thing does not happen when I type inside a Notepad. Does your PC have any weird problems?

Though I don't have in my own system , one of my friends is having one different issue. He is not able to enter into the desktop and they system is shutting down immediately after the boot. Not able to format the system also as he is not able to change the booting order in the bias set up.The changes are not able to be saved. If we try to make any change and save it, the system is shutting down without saving the changes. Once the system is started, one dialog box with the title. "surabaya' is opening and not allowing us to do anything. It seems a sort of virus. We don't know how to rectify this.

If 'surabaya' is not the name of any of the users then it seems like a virus. I don't have any solution for the problem your friend is facing. He should take his PC to a professional.

I'm going to step in here for just a minute if you don't mind, please believe me when I say I don't know anything about computers, But! I had the same problem as you and my computer would shut down immediately also, when I called the man that looks after my computer all of the time he told me it was the memory card? Anyway, he took the computer, replaced it, brought it back in a couple of days and I have not had any problems since. This has been more than a year now. I don't remember what it cost but I know it was not much as he is also a personal friend of mine so he usually just gives me things at cost and doesn't charge for doing the work unless it is an extreme problem that takes a long time. While I know your computer was diagnosed with a different problem, I just thought I would share what happened to me in case it would help someone else.

As like we thought, it is a kind of virus only. When we approached a computer technician, he told that nothing can be done except removing the intel chip and fix it in some other system for removal of the virus if possible. Still we did not get back our system from him and it seems we may need to change the chip itself which is costlier one.Let us see what happens.

None of my computers have any problems, as I backup everything to an external drive and then reformat and install windows again every year. This keeps my computer free of a clogged up registry and other unnecessary files in the hard drive.

When you format your PC, you would have to install other applications like Nero, MSOffice etc again. I usually have many softwares installed. So it would be a hassel for me.

even I do the same thing because every now and then we get these bugs affecting the pc.. so the best is take a backup on the external harddisk and format the pc... installing softwares and drivers is not such a worry because it hardly takes few minutes for that.

Yeah, I also think the problem is because of the keyboard.

I guess the problem lies in the keyboard. I think you need to replace the button on your CPU.

My pc does the same thing with the caps lock thing. But I found out that if you press shift or shift and caps at the same time it will go away. This might not work for you though. Hmmm could it be that your sticky keys are on?

I always had weird problems on my PC. Crashes, freezes, and I never really did anything with it that much to explain the problems. It got to the point where I decided to give the Mac a try. Best decision I ever made.

Sounds like mine. I have trouble with the caps lock as well, and sometimes I think I am typing in small letters, but then I type in capitals. And when I am typing in the mylot box, sometimes I get the weird symbol. I had worse before I got my new anti vir anti virus program when I used avg. Then it was a trojan and before I got the anti-key logger. I think what is happening to you is a sign that your computer is about to go to the computer land in the sky or there is a virus. It depends on how old your computer is. If it is 6 years or more, then it starts to die unless you are extremely careful and only use it occasionally for emails.

Weird things happen with my computer from time to time also. My keyboard has a mind of its own at times. I press the space bar sometimes and it will space about 5 or 6 spaces at once for some reason. The font size of the letters also changes on its own at times.

It happens when the space bar button gets stuck inside. I mean the actual contact button inside the keyboard(the one below the space bar button) gets stuck and does not come up immediately. Repairing the space bar button should not cost much.

Hello my friend VANILLAREY Ji, My PC may not give similar problems, but it does give some different problems, so once a year I totally get it checked as a maintenance practice and as a routine. In my case my Lap-top, while typing 'cursor' will jump earlier and strat typing somewhere else. These are all to be taken care of by maintenance programme. I get irritated. May God bless You and have a great time.

Perhaps your shift button is pressed, if Caps Lock is On + Shift then it'll type in Small Caps. So, if you press any key it'll get alternative key: 9 will be (. If the keyboard is don't have problems then probably in register has been change because of virus.

there are times when i open my pc, the mouse is not working.. i have to restart my pc many times before i can get my mouse work/move again. it also automatically open the printer even though i turn the printer off. so i have to unplug the printer from the pc so that i would not accidentally print any documents..

Like some have said before, it is almost definately a keyboard issue. Try checking your 'Regional and Language Options' in your control panel and see if UK English is listed as default :3 Hope I can help (: If not, nevermind.

Key board malfunctions due to variety of reasons. If something spills on your keyboard like cola or sweet tea it starts malfunctioning due to high humidity or rainstorm sugar in the drink can wick back upto circuit board of your keyboard. No matter how hard you try to clean this will come back again. In that case throw your key board and buy new one.Otherwise, your keyboard gathers dust and hair, during humidity or rainy seasons they stick to gether and make the key stick and malfunction. Blow your key board with vaccum or canned air and check all your connections and plugs they also get affected by humidity.

Hi, now i would like to share few word about PC wierd Problems. Generally some times we face these type of problems like whenever we suddenly on the switch then automatically we lose power to all remaining systems whenever we have local area network connection. so at that situation we get angry upon them. And some time we are not save every updated messages, that time we have to plan to take the uninstructed power supply(ups), so at this time we not lose our data. Some times when i press the Ctrl key(for copy and paste or save messages) gets typed ~ gets typed on the screen. Another problem which occur sometimes is when i try to name a folder on the desktop. If i don't have Caps Lock On, then the name gets typed in Large Caps. These problem i had faced with my PC.
