I live in Kentucky. We seem to have alot of humidity year around. The allergie season last longer and the sinsus attacks are frequently. I suffer from both and have spent alot of money on those sprays and other over-the-counter drugs.
I have run across something that has helped and cost so much less. It is a herb in pill form called "BROMELAIN". You can find it in the vitamin section of your drug store, but I have also found it at Wal-Mart.
Take 250mgs daily for several days and continue to keep the attacks from reocurring. I have taken Bromelain for several months now, and it really works. Do you have those attacks with sinsus or allegies? If so share with me what you have tried.2 people like this

I suffer with a lot of sneezing. Today I saw a friend and she set me off sneezing with her perfume. I am really very allergic to nail varnish. That sets my nose off if someone does that in near me on a train. I wonder if I can buy bromelain in my home country. I will have a go at buying it if I can do so. Many thanks.

I think with it being a herb, you should be able to find it easily. You might have to go to a Herb store. I know here in the US it is real easy to find. We have it at the Wal-Mart stores. The cost is fairly cheap. I would have paid any price at that time for some relief. I think you will notice after taking several doses that you might not experience that many attacks. Let me know how it works out for you.

Oh man do I! Right now I've got sinus problems up the wazoo. The allergies are bad as well, but right now my sinus problems are worse. It's so humid here in Oklahoma, and today we've got rain, although usually that helps. Are your allergy problems better in the winter? I'm going to get some Bromelain today, you can bet on it. I am desperate to find relief.

Not sure about your allergies when it comes to winter. I have more attacks in the summer than I do winter. Although with the Bromelain it has subside quite a bit. I think you will see the relief and be amazed at the results. Let me know how it works out for you.

One of the peoople I work with, take care of has been prescribed nasal irrigation when she gets a sinus problem. Bromelain is very good for you. It is an enzyme that comes from the pineapple. I have taken it to help with my digestion at times. It also seems to soothe a sore throat. I had not thought of taking it for allergies and sinus. It is certainly healthier than so many prescription meds or over the counter remedies.

Just yesterday a family member was having a terrible time with there allegies. Nothing seem to be working for them. I had some Bromlain with me and gave them a few of mine. He called back last night and told me that he was already getting some relief. I know that it works miracles for me and now I know that he has helped him too. Have a nice day.

I have sinus issues but they don't bother me on a daily basis or anything. They only flare up in late fall, early winter. I don't use any nasal sprays as the ENT said it was not good to use the OTC sprays as they work well but only temporarily. Since I had sinus surgery and a polyp removed I don't have too many problems any more just the occasional infection in winter.

I am glad to hear that you have had good success with the surgery. I haven't went that far into my problem to see if I have that option. I think I will stick to the Bromelain. It is working very well for me. If you do have a flare up this fall, try it and see if it something that will work for you.
