DON'T TURN IT ON!!! Now plunge it into a jar of rice for at least 48 hours. That should help draw the water out. Also look in the hole where the headphone jack goes. Is there a white or a pink colour displayed. If it's pink throw it away, it's bust. But white means that it's recoverable. If you see neither then I don't know what to advise other than to go onto the Apple website and seek help in the forums there. Good luck Momma.

Oh my!!!!! |That doesn't sound good a tall.
sometimes after a bit of time, it dries out by itself and the things start working again, but it doesn't happen all the time.
It did happen with one of my cell phones once. It wouldn't work for a week or so, and then it started working again.

i know i have it just sitting on my dresser. it's dried out now, but the music is not working.... i got my fingers crossed. a couple of years ago i washed my ipod, and a few works later it started working fine. but this is a ipod touch, which i would assume is a bit more sensitive...

try letting it dry out. take everything apart that you can take off of the phone and letting it dry out to see if that will help it. other than you are pretty much just stuck unless you have insurance on your phone.
