Do you develop a concept of saving your hard - earn money? Or you rather spend what you made, and indulge yourself for the moment of material enjoyment? In this new generation, most of youngsters don't develop this concept. They rather spend the money on something that is trivial. Why not learn to save, you might need it in the future for emergency sake. We all love to to shop, but not to excessively shop. We have consider many factors that related to our living. Having some extra saving is our best security.

That's a great point that you make. I am sure lots of people are wishing they had saved more now that so many people are unfortunately losing their jobs. I used to be quite rubbish at saving too, but after going through quite a rough patch money-wise, I have definitely changed my attitude to looking after money more.

I've begun somewhat of a personal change in my overall demeanor as of late. Saving has become one of the most important priorities for me. There are more than a few luxuries I would like to obtain at this instant(high speed internet, a new car, a high maintenance girl friend, etc) but all those things can wait. financial stability ranks higher than simple wants at the moment.

This is all very true. I wish I knew how to save. I really don't. . How did you learn how to save?

Just learn to be frugal. Shop less, and save more. Learn to get things free. Make yourself smart.

I'm a youngster myself and find myself to be rather frugal compared to other youngsters. I only buy a new mobile phone every 2 years and never the most expensive one. I could save some money on my internet connection to but I am not going to do that since the offer I am using at the moment is the best in the world or something. Furthermore I sometimes use the public transit without having a valid ticket. I've never been caught which saves me a serious amount of tenners a year. :D Our regional public transit company is as stupid as can be. But hey I am not going to 'ride black' ( as we say, literally translated) anymore. I have had my ticket checked a few days ago and I was lucky to have a valid one that day. :D

I am now planning to save money, every month I do record the cost of daily, the rest of my salary in the end would be save for emergency.Because we are(my wife and me) going to travel to some place .I think it will help you to build the concept of saving money if you have a target, the young sometimes have not the target of life, so they don't have the concept of saving money.

Saving money is important for us. Every month we will save some of our incomes. As the education and healthcare fee becomes higher and higher. Nobody will know what happens tomorrow. So it is better that we have some savings in case of any accidents. I love China

We subscribe to paying ourselves first. We take a certain amount of money out of our paychecks every month and they go right in to various savings accounts, no question about that, it goes in there first. Then we pay our bills, what is left over after bills and savings we can use for what ever we want. But savings is first and foremost.

I try to be careful how I spend my money and try and save as much as I can but I really have never been really good at it!! I have tried to make a budget but it never seems to get followed and before long it is forgotten. I do alright but I know that I could be doing a lot better and have a lot more money saved if I would just buckle down and stick with a plan and not do all the extra things that my family likes to do.

i failed to save money on the passed years and have no savings still so if i need some mone urgently then would be my disastrous . i'm trying to saving some part of the salary from now on for the rainning days. wish i can follow this concept and always stick with it. no matter what happen. will save 1/4 of the mothly earning always.

Before i had commitments in life i didnt save a thing, looking back on it i really regret that now and wished that i had started saving for a "rainy day" a lot sooner. I have been putting money aside for the last two years now and it is slowly building up, i have also opened a trust fund for my daughter which i put money into for her future. I think while you are young and carefree then why not indulge in your earnings, but once you grow up a little then you must start thinking of your future.

hi clorissa123! it's always a must for me to save any amount everyday. whatever i saved for my daily allowance i put it to my piggybank. my daily routine that would entail spending money are the following: 1. i commute in going to work coming back home via cab/taxi. if i took the bus instead of cab/taxi whatever amount i saved goes to my piggy bank. 2. instead of having a full lunch i just eat whatever food, cupcakes or biscuits i have in my drawer. again, whatever i saved for my lunch goes to my piggy bank. 3. i do crochet and sell it. 25% of my earning goes to my piggy bank. 4. during payday... i put a hundred and even more depending upon the projected expenses for two weeks. that is my forced savings... if i will not do that, i know whatever money i have in my wallet will all be spent and nothing will be left for my savings. so, if i can do it, you guys can do it more.

I am having concept of saving money on monthly basis. In my view, money does a lot and whatever we want to buy or get, if you have money. The discussion now is saving money for the future. I am having a tendency to save money and i got a house. If you are married, the money you require for the expenditure is huge. To manage this, i hv started saving money. Planning in the monthly income or through any other means, given me an intention for saving. It helps in emergency medical care, and other unavoidable situation. Money makes everthing. If any of my friend need a help, i will definately help them if any sufficient money through saving. Thus, it enhance the relationship and good rapport with over the friends. Few people does not want to save money, instead they enjoy as they want. Like they enjoy for today's life and does not think about the future. Those people will definately affect for something when they really need money.

Hi,clorissa...I agree with you but at the same time I want to know which is the best way for us to save our money? We all want to save the extra money for the future, but we really know little about our future, I mean, maybe saving money only may not help a lot when we facing emergency sake or many other unpredictable factors related to our living...The economy is changing every moment, and the money in our hand may become more and more useless that makes everyone become more and more unwilling to save their money... So I think saving is a good idea, using the money to make more money and more friends,or shop for fun maybe another good choice...Do you think so...haha beeduzhe

As much as possible I save some of my earnings. I usually set aside something for the future. I think it is really important that we should save. Of course, I am not saying that we do not enjoy our earning by simply saving everything. From time to time, I also indulge on the good things like food, items and others. But as much as possible, I do save. I have also trained my 6 years old son to save some money. It would be a good habit to have as he grows.

hi since living here in Gold Crest I only have one hundred 'twenty five dollars left after rent and board are paid.So i save and' spend most frugally. When I buy I look for bargains and never'spend all of whatever money I have with me. I have to keep an emergency supply of hard candy for the times my blood sugar goes 'too slow.

The first thing I do with my money is to figure out how much I need to keep for my monthly bills. Once I have my bills out of the way, I figure out how much I will be able to invest every month. I also figure in birthday's, Christmas, Mother's Day and the like and determine as to how much money I can afford to spend on gifts for the given loved ones. Whatever money is left over, I take some money and put it aside for something special I want for myself. I leave the remainder of the money to carry over into the next month. I found that this system has worked well for me. It's how I got myself out of debt nine years ago. I hope folks will find this method helpful.

Yes, I always save 20% of my daily earnings and savings form an important aspect. I never spend that much and always concentrated on saving money and I have successfully done that so far. Only because of my saving measures, I am able to withstand the recession and economic slowdown quite efficiently. Yes, it is always necessary to have a proper savings. Unless or until you are not saving, you will be doomed out of this competitive world and i always suggest people to save money. Have a great day and happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)

I have a good concept of saving money. the problem of mine is I don't know how to use my money to invest. If I only save money in the bank, that means I will lost money. I am sure that. Ten years before $10 can buy how many things? But now $10 can buy how many things. Just think about it. The best way to save money is investment. Happy mylot!

Yeah,I agree with what you say.As a college student,my money mainly comes from my parents and I know that my parents make earnings by hard work. They are ordinary workers and they save money for my education. It is never easy to earn a living and I definitely don't want to increase my parents' burden. When I have overspent,I'd feel very guilty for my father and mother.Although they don't control my expense,I try to save money consciously and try not to buy unnecessary things.I've made up my decision to study hard and make my parents be proud of me.
