Hi Jaymar. There is music from each decade, including the present one, which I enjoy. And yes, since I was a teen throughout the 60's, some of those songs still hold special meaning for me: My Girl Unchained Melody and You've Lost That Loving Feeling Under The Boardwalk Can't Stop Loving You ...and many many others! Thank you for the excellent memories Karen

hi karen hmmm some are motown. i was born during the 70's so it is not really my era. But i noticed that many of the beautiful songs now came from that era. It was my interest to get musical influences that i came across with the artist and songs of the 50's and 60's. It was one of the golden eras of music.

Yes, it was indeed. Since I live in Michigan and have all my life, of course Motown rocked large :) In fact, the first record I ever bought for myself was Baby Love, by the Supremes.

wow. I love the supremes. one thing good about them is that they have good song writers, they are great singers, and they have "quality control" back then. even in general this was more or less the trend. Anyway, I don't intend to be discreminative but i was kind of amazed that motown was also a hit among whites? I'm really curious of the pop culture back then. Happy mylotting karen

yes I like new ones too. But the 1950's and 1960's has a different feel and a lot of the songs now are cover versions of that era. I feel that the era is losing its touch where some of the golden songs are on that time.

Thats really true what you said people are taking the music from the 1950 and just giving the latest touch with the new equipments and getting the fame on. well still the real touch of music is in the golden songs which makes to listen to them even now. The songs coming these day we listen to them for few days then move on to the next one, but those days songs we still listen without getting bored.

I love all sorts of rock'n'roll, and the fifties and sixties probably had the best rock music! There were so many great songs, I'm not sure which ones to even pick! Dancing in the Moonlight. My Girl (is great, whoever said that above) Johnny Be Goode (is also great, as is Chuck Berry in general) Hey Baby (They're Playing Our Song) And so many more. I loved the music from that era. I wish the mainstream music would go back to being good like it used to be.

yes i agree there are so many beautiful songs on that era. The beauty of it is that, even with the limitations of the technology then, they have so many good music. Yes if the mainstream music now is the same with that era but with a twist. Great musicality and great technology. It will really be very amazing.

Yeah, that would be great! I would love to hear that. A lot of the underground and alternative rock has that feel to it, like seventis and eighties rock'n'roll but unique. I really like it.
