What's Your Favorite Digital Camera Feature?

I absolutely love the IMAGE STABILIZER feature of my digital camera. The Canon digicam that I recently bought has this and I think other camera brands have it too. This feature is awesome because it provides some anti-shake help, which minimizes cam shakes and motion blurs so you're able to take sharper photos. It's very helpful when you're trying to photograph under low light conditions and when you're trying to capture a moving subject. How about you? What feature do you love most about your digital camera?

I like that feature for when I hand my camera to other people. I hold the camera really still so I don't use the feature myself, but others always seem to blur the photos and now I can hand the camera around safely. I have that Olympus underwater camera that can be dropped and frozen and just about anything it seems. My favorite feature is that it can go underwater and even take short underwater movies. Of course, the drop feature is also cool, but this is so far the only camera I've ever dropped... good thing it's the dropable camera. :)

That's true, I wouldn't worry about having blurred photos when I ask others to take it for me. Hahaa. I like that "droppable" feature -- makes your camera even more powerful. I would deem that you have a very active lifestyle.Ö I would love to have an underwater cam!Ü

I guess I'm fairly active. The main thing I got this camera for, is that I volunteer with marine mammals. I was constantly worrying before that I would accidentally slip or something and drop my camera into the water. And so I used to hardly ever bring my camera. But there are so many cute seals to take photos of, that when I saw that this camera could withstand falls and was also safe to take underwater, I knew it was perfect for this. I've even take a few photos of fur seals underwater. But mostly I just use it for regular photos. And then occasionally I'll take photos and videos in the swimming pool too.

That's an awesome feature you mentioned there. Most digicams have this feature called Night Mode.

Ah, I don't know much about digital camera. I am sorry I will be sounding foolish but the only thing which I love about digital camera is that I can see the photograph then and there. It is much more better than the tradition role camera. The other thing is that we can store mor than 1000 photograph in a digital camera.

Wonderful! Getting an instant photo of what we took is the most basic and one of the nicest things about owning a digital camera. It gives the owner a lot of convenience without going through the hassles of bringing your film to the photo shop to have it developed and you need to wait for at least half an hour for that.

Having red eyes in photos is one problem that we get when we take photos in dim light. They do sometimes come out as spooky, but the red color comes from light that is reflected off the retinas in our eyes. We see red eyes both in digicams and in film cameras. It's good that most digital cameras now have a red eye reduction feature.

My digital camera has the image stabilizer too and I love the feature as well. But my favorite of all the features of my digital camera is the wide lens and the macro lens. I love taking close-up pictures and these features help a lot to achieve nice photos even at a close distance.

first feature i like in cameras is the Image stabilizer. second, the zooming capability. the norm is x3, but x5 or x10 is better. Power shot can go as high as x25. third, faster shutter speed. fourth, the exposure control and ISO control. Better, if I could get a DSLR camera for having greater features than ordinary digital cameras.

I would say go get that DSLR. It's a very good investment. I plan to get one soon.

I actually prefer film cameras to digital cameras.. But what I love about digital cameras is the convience of them. No development, no wait time. You can just directly upload the pictures to your computer and send them to whoever or print them off or completely customize them with all those different effects. It's simply more convienent.

It must be a digital camera's shooting convenience that makes a very popular gadget compared to film cameras. It's the convenience in printing & sharing your photos, plus being more creative about it.

WATER PROOF! My Olympus Mju1030 has Weather Proof and Shock Proof: That means that it can survive snow, rain and even the ocean! I already tried submerging it in sea water when I went to Subic. I also (accidentally) dropped it several times and it's working pretty well! When I experienced a problem with it, all I did was go to Greenhills and I had it fixed for a good price (cheaper than when you surrender it to their service center).
