What would you do to survive if money all of a sudden was gone?

What would you do in really bad times, if all of a sudden the money market crashed, and you don't have any stocks or anything to use as money. How do you plan to survive. This is a real question, and the way things are going, would you survive, and how do you prepare for such disasters.

hmmm..The first thing I'd do is take note of all the things we have that could be used in any sort of bartering..jewelry, tools, talents. The loss of a money base wouldn't eliminate the interdependency of social living. We'd simply need to substitute it with a barter type system. The second would be to get back up north. There's a little piece of dirt that my dad owns in Ohio, and farming is no stranger to me. Meat, of course, would be harder to come by but I could vegan if called for. The third would be wait for the Christ.. ENJOY!

Well they have that covered too. When you see what they are trying to do, then you will understand how. They are planning to keep track of you by GPS, and most everything made today has this capability, cell phones can be activated by remote control to activate the microphone, and listen to conversations even when turned off. the only way to disarm it is by taking out the battery. And the cash for junkers plan is to take all the cars that don't have GPS technology, off the road and replace them with cars that can be tracked and even listened in on with the new computers. They brought out this car tracking system in a way that we don't expect to be used, all we see is convieniance for us, but it is a plan to take over the whole of humamity. There are lots of ways that they will control everybody after the bankrupt all of the world execpt the millionaires and billionaires. One is to microchip all of us after they rounded all of up in holding or detainment centers that will be the old millitary bases all over the country. We will be enslaved after they take everything we own. Even the FEMA program is set up for detaining the masses in faked emergencys, under martial law.

You're absolutely right! But regardless of how well they control electronicly they'll never control completely. There will always be in play an underground economy based on barter for and by the renegades who don't take the chip. Granted, most will. Most are sheep scared of their own shadow who are addicted to monetary value..something our money hasn't had since '87 when we were taken off the gold standard, with the economy to dictate the money value and money value to dictate the economy (HUH?!)...With that economy sold to the lowest bidder in overseas labor and product sold back to the american people in highly inflated mega profit inducing form. Thre's a lot of weird stuff that's going to be happening shortly and it'll begin with the healthcare bill.. Will talk more later..gotta git..ENJOY!

when money becomes worthless the default currency is going to be gold and silver. since gold and silver has been the currency for over 6000 years! and will remain so.after that other thing that would be of great value is TOOLS. its plentiful now but when it all collapses those are the things that you will need. remember also that you will need a "SURVIVAL CACHE" these are items that are for emergencies and to keep people alive.

Some how i'd grow my own food with the help of friends is the main thing, then i'd try to find some way to be able to clean my teeth and i'd find some way to make some clothes. The main thing for me would be trying to find a way to eat.

Just another thing I want to stress is that Monsanto Co. had bought out most of the seed company's, and what they are doing is ungodly. They are sterilizing all seeds on the market so that the crops you grow will not produce any seeds that you can save for the following years. This is so you can't survive on your own without buying new seed from them, and so they have control over your fate, when they crash the monetary system we have now. Even with the cash for junkers plan is to take all the lower forms of computers off the roads, and they can put in the newer computers with chips that can track you by GPS satellites. They are rounding us up as we speak and we will not be prepared for it.

I probably would borrow some money from my friends . We just cann't live without money , i think. And then i have to wait for my salary . In order not let these things happen i'm forcing myself to save money every month . It's very hard now to borrow money from others . We have to have some money for emergency and we cann't spend all money out .

hi itsmychoice! if this thing happens, the first thing that i will do is to call my family to talk about the situation. then plan out things and explore alternatives for us to survive and live. finally, our family will be one in prayer for god's wisdom and strength to guide us as we continue life journey with HIS unending blessings even without money. my family can stay in the province where fruits, rootcrops and vegetables are abundant. i believe me and my family and the community as a whole will survive with god's grace even without money!!! long live my friend!

Really a nice question All of a sudden if we lose all our money we have only to turn to God. God is always there to help us in times of need and if we are sure about this some way of making money to meet our daily needs will open before us. This is my firm belief Happy mylotting

You can still survive if can use your ability. You can plant so you have food or you can raise livestock or poultry to be able to trade on some other things. Back then people can survive because of the barter system and they use their environment. Now a days money is what we need to survey because everything has a price. I know God would help us in the time of crisis and we are going to believe in Him. He going to give us guidance and strength to surpass our problem.

Its seems impossible when something like this happens, but dont forget everything passes away even the good times and even the bad times, so when times like this we just have to think positive and put up a brave front, it not that we cannot survive, everybody can survive if have food, shelter and clothing, its just our thoughts which will make us happy in any condition thats more important, so that even our mind stays healthy during such disasters, and if we keep praying God and have faith in him then I think we can overcome any hurdle... have a nice day

I would eat the rats that come around my backyard. Just joking. I honestly couldn't imagine how life would be like since neither me or my family own stocks. If there was no money available then I guess we would take out a loan on the bank and use that money

Hi Itsmychoice, am going through hard times right now...I do believe that God will choke you but he won't kill you, we all must feel pain just as he did on the cross...A couple of weeks ago my family and I ate meatloaf for 3 consecutive days...we're still here!! Just have to deal and make intelligent choices, for example...no eating out till we're out of this rut!! If push comes to shove then that's the time to visit your local Social Service agency, but hopefully it won't come to that...I still have my job and although two is better than one...one is better than nothing at all!! ~G~

Growing our own fruits and veggies is a major key to survival. We also have small farm animals. I can foods and we stock pile items here at home. If we had no money we would have to barter for the things we need. Trade what we have for other things and trade work for items as well.

I think I will first look at family gather to eat things. Then go to the countryside, those who can produce food place. With my own home some valuable original items in exchange for some food. Then return to the city.Earned with my food in exchange for a number of rural people in need. Then we went to rural areas for more food.Such a cycle. The more the more I can change.Well,I accumulated food and people need more and more items. Then I can do a successful businessman.Existing food to eat. There are good items to enjoy life.

This will not affect me much as I don't have more money with me.For survival, I have my own land to cultivate.Again here purchasing the raw material may be the issue slighely but I can manage with what I am having in my hand at present. But if it happens, then everyone in this world will have to work hard to get at least for their survival. No more lazy persons can survive here.As they are having much money in their account, most of such people are living without knowing about the hard work or even what the work is..No place for such people in this world. This will make all the people to work. All will become equal. No poor..No rich people.Only the hard workers and non working people for some time..Then soon, only the hard workers will be available here.Nice imagination..

Hi itsmychoice, If we don't have money system anymore, I will eat whatever we can eat. Maybe I will start farming for my own foods. Or pick some fruits from the jungle. Catch fish from the river. There are a lot of way we can survive without money. It is hard for those who live their life in a big city where money is everything. But for those who came from a village, it should be no problem at all.

Since that would be a universal problem, I am sure governments will come out with solutions. In the meanwhile, I am sure, I will just latch on to my neighbors, and do what they are doing. I am sure they will have friends and relatives who are doing something - successfuly, or who have adequate influence to get required assistance.

well, it's true that due to rapid raise of population and few people like to work in farm. we sometimes are facing food scarcity. i guess we'll have to return to primitive times when everybody didn't use money. We just live by hunting but i think now, there's not much place to hunt animals. the only thing i can do to survive is to grow vegetables and plants in the garden, raise poultry (which my mother does) to sustain my daily food. I think it will not happen in a day so we still have time to prepare for such situation. ^^;

If such a situation arise, i would go to the people i know for help. I know i have people who will help me in times of troubles. What are friends for? What are our parents for? What are our siblings for? I know where i can go and will survive. Bu, of course i will not be depending for everything on them, i will try not to be upset and get up and search for a way, so that i'll stand on my feets again.
