Forgiveness

How do you forgive someone who has hurt you?

the only way to truly forgive is to forget and be willing to move past the issue. if you keep it in the back of your mind, you'll never have peace, and will never have really forgiven.

In the back of the Big Book of AA there's a story entitled Freedom from Bondage. Towards the end of the story they have the answer. They said it never failed. Just pray for the person you resent to have the good things you want for yourself. To prove them wrong and stupid, I did this thing they said to do. I found out that it did work and I was the stupid one for doubting without at least trying it. They knew from experience that it always works. I would ask for my resentments to have peace of mind, knowledge of God's will and the power to carry that out and a certain amount of money. If a person doesn't get rid of their resentments, it means they do this suggestion.
