Why Do We Keep Returning Back To Mylot?

Merry go round on Mylot - Coming back again and again

When I had registered on Mylot first, I continued interacting here for a while. Then I got busy in other things and didn't sign in for about a few months. I came back. Then things got busy and I again disappeared. This time it was a long break. i had totally forgotten about it too. But since past few days I felt the need to interact here again. Funny it may look. But I want to have your opinion on this. Why do you think we return back to Mylot again and again? Is it because of the kind of interaction we have here? Or, is it because of friends we have here? Or, any other reason?

I pretty much did the same thing when I initially joined myLot. I signed up and didn't return to the site for almost 6 months. I enjoy being here and being a part of certain discussions. I can learn from reading new information. Enjoy the friend interaction here as well. Overall, my experience with myLot has been a good one. Now I am here everyday but may not have loads of time to respond to discussions but atleast sign onto the site and see what's happening. Good to see you back again.

I have been just super. Am so excited now that we have a baby in our part of the country that I can hug and kiss. She's just a little doll. She just turned 10 months so I've had an absolute blast babysitting with her or just being with her. She's the only person I know who gets so excited when I walk in a room...lol My husband doesn't kick his feet and grin each time he sees me. Guess if he did I would be worried!

How exciting carolbee! Babies are so innocent and they show true affection. It must be a very happy feeling. I can understand that. :)

Hey daffodil, Nice to c u again . I never left this site for too long. I love the atmosphere here. Its a site where u can post and share your views and get genuine honest replies. Also i have noticed that people from differant countries, cultures gel nicely here which is so good to c. I have made some excellent friends here and to share things with them makes it so very interesting. Thats the main reason we get back to this site again and again. Cheers, Tutul

I really like the people here. I wasn't crazy about the site when I first joined. I did it to help a friend. But it got fun to respond to people's discussions, and get input on my own issues and questions. I really like the people, and even if it isn't much, the money does eventually add up. So I guess I just like it here.

This site grows on us. Its only when we make friends and get interested in responses and interactions that it becomes fun being here. Gradually we get addicted and find it hard not to come here everyday.

I've never officially taken a break from Mylot. I continue to leave my notifications on, and I'll still look through discussions my friends start, and occasionally respond. Although my participation has definitly decreased, I'm still popping in from time to time. I can certainly say why some people choose to go inactive or decrease their participation, I think it's harder to explain why we come back. Could be for the money, I know that does drive each and every one of us, even if we claim it doesn't. It could also be because of particular people. I've always thought I'd miss some of the friends I made on here if I ever left for too long, and it's true. I do miss being able to just discuss how I feel and what's going on in my day to day life.

Money is indeed an important aspect, no matter how little you make. But other factors like friends and the activities play an equally important role.

Mylot is completely different for me than anything else. you can discuss and learn at the same time. something i never got the chance to experience. not even on friendster, myspace or hi5. most are just for popularity in adding friends, comments, and other features in the profile. but thanks to those sites, i was able to make a good profile on my own.

I believe that the contentment of having your feelings be brought out and answering someone's problems brings joy to our heart which leads us to returning to this site. The other thing is the earning process while fulfilling your joy by being a good samaritan by answering queries.. It's all about the feelings of expression.

Very well described marctiu. Playing samaritan, expressing our feelings and last but not the least- money too. I agree with you fully.

I think alot of times, it has to do with the friends we have here and it is also a get away and also an earnings site. I have taken time away also but have come back here to make more money and interact with friends too. It is good to see you here again.

I know exactly what you're saying. I've been on and off here on mylot for a whie now. During my first few months, I was on everyday but when school started and our PC broke down I was off for more than 6 months although I try to log-in and check on discussions when I get the chance. When I got my laptop, I was on again almost everyday and then I started blogging and I forgot about mylot and now I'm back here again. Personally, what's keeping me back here is the interaction and sharing of opinions. I love to read how people agree or disagree in a certain topic and I enjoy reading different opinions and views on a certain topic. PLUS here in mylot, every post and comment is WORTH something for sure!

It is worth, so true. Here people do not have to hide their feelings. The interaction and sharing gives a feeling like you are having a real and regular chat get togethers.

Your story is pretty much the same as mine. I guess I just missed the place and new I was overdue checking in. But yes, getting busy with things can take away a lot of time from mylot. For me, it seems this place is something I really like and even if I leave, I keep coming back to it. The only regret is watching and finding out people have left the site.

I understand exactly what you are saying! Twice I left mylot because I was busy doing other things. I left it for about two or three months. I then decided to log in one day and do one post, just to see what's new around mylot and if anything has changed. I was hooked again! I'm never giving mylot a break again! Well atleast for now, I don't know how my mind will think later!

Once we are in it for good. Mylot has that kind of power. Yes. Only too much time constraint can beat the addiction. But only to come back again, as in both our cases. :)

I signed up back in April and the only time I didn't go on was when I went on vacation. Otherwise everyday I have signed on. I keep going back to it because I want to see what my friends are talking about. If I could learn something new today. Just keeping in touch with people. Its quite addictive to me and I love it. If there are no discussions that I'm interested in I go to another site for awhile and then go back to Mylot.

The lure of new spicy conversations, friends response and our own contribution to post and responses are quite good reasons to continue being glued to Mylot. Now I can feel it again.

You return back to mylot, again and again because you have tons of free time on your hand and you like earning money for doing this. This is the same reason everybody continues to return to mylot. This is why we even signed up in the first place. Am I right?

I felt very happy to return to mylot several times.I joined in mylot in the year 2007. Due to few reasons i left mylot two times in the year of 2008,i got the payment two times till now. If i still do better then i hope i will get more and make many new friends in mylot. I am very happy that i make and met new friends. This makes me keep on returning back to mylot several times.

Since joining I haven't ever lost interest here, but there have been a few times when I was too busy or offline or a combination of the two and had to be "away" -- on one occasion even to the point of just deleting ALL of the notifications that piled up while I was gone and diverting the new ones directly and automatically to the trash for a few days (that was easier than revising the "filter") I think it is for the same reason that people glance at a daily newspaper, to keep in touch with what is going on. Here on myLot the news passes really fast. Sometimes I see a discussion and then go look the topic up on a news page. What can one say? Here is where it is happening! I think it is a little about the money, too, not just the pennies for our thoughts that we affectionately dub "myLot earnings" although those are fun and most of us are the kind of people who who stoop to pick up a penny from the sidewalk if we saw one there, but also because people here are on top of the latest money making "schemes" that one might find online and share tips for exploiting them and also share warnings about the scams.

Hey Daffodil! How could you just up and leave me? You didn't even say goodbye! How are you my favorite little pink flower? Where have you been and what have you been doing? I have really missed you! You just up and disappeared one day! I had no idea what happened to you! At least you could have popped in every now and then to let me know that you were ok! Welcome back, or are you going to disappear again soon? Hugs, Opal
