Where do you get ideas about your writing?

When I started writing short stories it was when I came to know that whatever I think and talk about can be put in paper and then I decided to it once for all and since I have been contunuing to write which in itself is an inspiration.

Personally, my writing is motivated by the opportunity of learning something new... It is amazing that when we get new ideas from other people, we are sometimes surprised at how they perceived the topic... With the exception of the first real story that I have ever written and for my music, I get my inspiration from people and events that go on around me. Sometimes I'll go sit in a diner with some ink pens and napkins, and while I take my dinner or drink I watch what goes on around me.. listen to the sounds.. listen to people talking.. see how the interact with one another. I do the same on my way home... except writing on a little tablet. Later I will look at these things and see if anything else comes to mind spawned by these things.. and see if I can come up with a piece.

I get ideas from lots of different places (too many places to list). Sometimes I have very vivid dreams and they give me a lot of ideas. I also like to read a lot of different books, and the topics and themes in the books give me lots of interesting ideas that I had never thought of before. Other times I could just be sitting down and something interesting will pop into my head. I even get good ideas from my professors at college during class discussions. Always keep your mind open because you never know where your next good idea might come from.

Ideas will spring up, if you let them. Always have a paper and pen with you, so anytime it will come up, you can write it down. Read a lot, and explore new things, so you could learned and mixed your experienced with what you've read. As much as possible have peace on mind, so there would be more positive energy that will give you a more brighter and unique ideas. Just relax and be happy that's one thing for sure that won't let you out of ideas for your writing. have a great day!
