For the last couple of weeks, the only thing I can think of its sleeping. This is getting Ridiculous and I don't know what to do about. Even do I'm going to sleep and i'm getting my 8 hours of sleep each night, it seams I'm always tire. I know I'm not pregnant (which some times could be a reason)and I'm eating healthy. Does this seam to happen to other people or is it just me???Should I go to the Dr and find out if there is anything wrong with me???What would you suggest?

Hi melissau, Before heading to the doctor's office and spending your hard earned money, you should consider some things. Do you have any problems at the moment? Are you stressed about a certain thing, or worrying about something constantly? Maybe you have had a sudden change in your life and it is keeping you from resting, even though you sleep the full 8 hours. When I was younger, my mother taught me something very wise, at least it helped me and I hope it might help you as well. She told me that every night before going to bed, I should prioritise my thoughts. She taught me to start making nightly lists of "to do" things for the following day so as not to forget. Many times I would miss appointments or forget information and that would drive me crazy and coincidentaly make me lose sleep. So now i keep a journal next to my bed and I write in it every night with things that I need to do, thoughts I can't prioritize just yet, questions nagging me, feelings I might be having. The list is endless, it gets better over time and it becomes habbit so that now years later, I can rest and be assured that my sleep will not be invaded by distracting thoughts, fears or doubts. It is like when you hear a noise in the middle of the night, I don't know about you, but I have to get up to investigate it or else I will NEVER get back to sleep! LOL I hope this helps you, I pray it is not anything medical, either way, good luck to you.

Hi there Irisflower, your mom gave you some very good tips. I have tried doing this myself from time to time but then I wind up not remaining consistent with my list. I'm quite sure that when you first started that you probably weren't consistent either right? So how did you ever manage to get past that point? thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the comment. To be honest, yes it happened to me as well. What started happening was that I would wake up at night and whatever thought was present I would write it down. I would use a full sentence or sometimes just write one word. I read somewhere, sorry I can't think of where at the moment, that it is in our semi conscious state that we get clear thoughts. Let me tell you, I got some really good use out of that practice. Maybe it was my love of writing and reading, but that practice would lead me to journal more thoughts and feelings, to question different things. After a while, it became my therapy, I love it to this day. It has taken me to some great thoughts, plans and schemes, and some crazy, laughing till it hurt thoughts, plans and schemes. Sorry, got off the track there, :)I just never allowed the habbit to break, even on nights when all was well and I had no major worries, it still helped me. For example, I write happy thoughts or wishes and plans, this way it garauntees that I fall asleep with a happy thought. Sort of like when you go to work, personal issues and problems stays at the door, then I pick them back up on the way out! :) Hope some of this helps!!

I love sleeping a lot. If I do not have to go to school, I will always sleep until eleven or trelve o'clock in the morning. But are you sure you do not catch a cold or something like that? Have a nice day!

nope the doctor will just recommend you to take some rest. i am also referring to peace of mind. most people who suffer stuff like this are those who use brain every time. perhaps you've been thinking about finances and that worries you a lot. people who are thinking more often easily gets tired.try also an hour of exercise a day. i hope this helps.

I have also noticed that I have been sleeping a lot during the day time. Is this natural? I really don't know. They say that it can be healthy to take an afternoon nap and I sometimes do this. When I do take an afternoon nap though I also notice that I am unable to get any proper sleep during that evening. There could be a whole number of reasons why you find yourself sleeping a lot more. I have been through depression and maybe I am still a little depressed and this is probably why I sleep a lot now. I don't think that it's worth going to the doctor's though unless you find your starting to sleep all day and all night. Anyway, you should follow your heart and do what you think is best. Andrew

If it was me, I would definitely pay a visit to the doctor and see if there is anything wrong with you. My sister-in-law went through something similar to this earlier in the year and the doctor thought that the cause of it could be one of two different things. The first was related to her tonsils and adenoids, the second was that she possibly had sleep apnea. She ended up having to go and get a sleep study. They were able to determine that it wasn't sleep apnea, but they haven't had the money to get her tonsils removed up to this point. All in all, it wouldn't hurt to visit the doctor.

good thing for you but i guess its because your not doing something. do you have job or somthing coz if you do then im sure you will have less sleep also. some people are into that. even me. though according to the doctor. if you sleep more theres a tendency that you become more tired and want to sleep more that those who sleep less. its a long discussion actually but he told me that if i sleep longer hours, theres a part in my body that become inactive thats why it takes time for them to regain back to work again.

A trip to the doctor may be the best thing to do at this point. There are thingsg that you could try on your own, such as going for a walk to spped your metabolism, which in turn should help you feel more energetic, you could take a B-Complex vitamin to help with your enertgy level, you could take a closer look at your sleeping habits and figure out if you are really resting at night or just sleeping, your iron level may be low, so you could take a multi-vitamin with iron, or you could go to the doctor, hopefully get a difinitive answer and not have to keep guessing what may be going on. In my perconal situation, I feel more tired throughout the day when am stressed, feeling depressed, or am just not resting very well. I take a multi-vitamin each night before bed and one some occassions (when I remember), I take a B-Complex vitamin in the morning. Themulti-vitamin seems to help me rest better and wake up feeling more refreshed, and the B-Complex vitamin seems to help give me the energy that I feel I am lacking. Other times, when I am really feeling tired throughout the day, I just have to force myself to do something productive that gets me up and moving. In your case, I think that if you have tried all you can think of, it is time to go see the doctor and let him run some tests. It is always better to be safe than to be sorry.

Yep. What everyone else says about the doctors. I was that way too when I was younger always feeling tired no matter what. Didn't occur to me it all the stress I was under was a big factor in it til I spoke to the doc.

Hi there, this is just a suggestion for you. Maybe you should try doing a little exercising during the day. Also I've noticed that if we eat carbohydrates right around lunchtime we will get very sleepy afterward. So try cutting back on those if you can. Are you doing anything that keep your interest? Usually when we are engaged in something fun, it will keep our interest and the sleep factor doesn't seem to kick into gear. For me I tend to get sleepy a lot but I"m not going to go see a doctor. I will simply try my best to deal with it. Drinking some green tea might also be a good remedy for you as it should give you a boost of energy. Mind you, I'm not trying to come off as if I know more than the doctors but I do believe that there are times in life when a person must look at their own life and try to figure out what's going on. We probably know ourselves better than anyone else does. So you probably need to check several things. Do you go to bed at a good consistent time each night? Also do you have a job that you enjoy going to each day? Check these things that I"ve mentioned here and then if it continues to happen after a good period of time, like a month or two, you might then want to check in to see a doctor because it could be depression. Good luck and happy mylot!

Sometimes too much of fatigue leads you to just think of sleeping everytime, may be you are even not well, i think you should consult your doctor for it.Most of the time eating at wrong times or eating too much of rice in lunch or too much of meat also makes you lethargic and lazy.

Sleepy right,if you have done any work tirelessly or haven't slept properly some days back may be the reason for you sleepiness. I my opinion you better ,wake up around 5 am in the morning,go for a morning walk,or jog, getting fresh air is the best for your sleeping mood. Also do not have a bigger diet these days, since loads of food also make's people lazy and getting sleepy the next day onwards, also avoid sweetened food.Hope you gain better results from these tips,Sleeping in a cozy, and much spongy bed does add to the fact of making people sleepy the day to,try a hard bed for some days. BYE see you.

If you are a growing girl and even if yu are not, it is very likely that you are going through a phase that is going to pass, you probably should create hobbies and interests that will help you to forget your sleep. inspite of it is always better to meet your doctor. Have you tried Homeopathy? It is quite effective and also no side effects.
