Are you happy with your present?

Hello friends :)
Actually i have just passed my Engineering and i am looking for a job. I am quite under pressure and somewhat depressed that i am not getting a descent job. While on the other side, few of my friends are doing job and some are preparing for MBA. But the thing because of which i am surprised or shocked is neither of them is happy with what they are doing. Those occupied with job are not happy with their job and those preparing for MBA aren't happy with their preparation. While the others who are like me are in same situation that is looking for a job. The base line is neither of us are happy.
Is it the general human nature?
I want to know Are you happy with your present?

Hi Abhii, I am happy with my present. :-) But then, my case might be different. My wants are limited. The point is, if I want to be unhappy, I can be. It isn't that I dont have my share of woes. But i dont dwell on them. I dont blow them out of proportion. I may not have obliterated them from my life, but they have not obstructed me from enjoying good music, eating good food, wearing what I like, and having the kind of friends I want. Dont focus on what u dont have. Focus on what u have like loving parents, and a brother. People who will be around u in times of need. Sounds like I am preaching, am I not? Sorry. :-) But it is essentially in how look at things. :-)

Hmmm may be 'happy' isn't the correct word i used, rather it should be 'satisfied with your present' because we all also trying for what we don't have presently. And yeah the way we look at things decides our mental status of being happy or sad.
And haha preaching, no. These are the things each individual (mature) knows but only few or very less make them practical :)

hi friend,
i've the same situation , i've gradauted last year but i didn't find a job which is based on a lot circumstances . Sometimes , i get too sad and frustrated when i see some classmates got jobs... but i try to take it easy and say who knows what the future holds for me , the futurs is in the hands of god why should i get sad ? the second reason which makes me feel comfortable now is i'm still living with my parents , and i don't need anything ( thanks for god ) . People are always seeking for happiness ,but they never be happy . you know why , coz they always thought that when they reach one of their dreams they will be happy , but in reality , who can not be happy and satisfied of what he / she has ,he/she will never be happy .

Yeah that was actually what i wanted to say. Our dreams are endless. If we achieve what we like then we wish for something else and this process carries till the time we die :P. I guess it's common in most or everyone among us and it is not such a big thing. But as Vandana and you commented and what i think we should learn to keep ourselves happy with the things we have. Instead of looking towards the people who are above us, we should also think of those who even don't get what we have.

Now I just finished my GRE test, and I am wondering if I will go abroad. I am really confused about this. If I choose to go abroad, I have to start to prepare many things like resume, personal statement and so on. But if I choose to go abroad, I have to give up a lot of things. Have a nice day!

This is the only answer in your discusstion only. You are not happy with your present because you did not het job till date for which you are looke hope looking in your feild, but your freinds who are doing job or doing MBa preparation, they are also not happy. I means to say here that who ever the person, what ever he is doing ,with that he is not satisfied with his prosent work , he or she just wants to make his or her life more luxurious more comfortable, so he is running after money , after success, and no body is satified. Even Iam also not satified with my present, As I am a student of MBA and I am working with very good call centre but still I need more satisfiction that's why I am also not satisfied with my present. Offcourse It's a nature of human beings
