It's So Confusing

This certainly hasn't happened to me before! It seems I'm pretty fortunate in the generic email provider department because I have Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail and never had any issues with any of them. (Touch wood) I'm assuming you've marked all the relevant mail as not being spam and vice versa so it won't continue on this way? It sure is strange that it would decide to do this on its own though?

No, I didn't have that problem...but then they might have had it fixed before I got on since I didn't get on till so late. I have other problems from Yahoo! but so far not that..or as I said unless it was fixed first.

It's Yahoo so it doesn't shock me any I turned off the spam filter on Yahoo so that everything goes into my Inbox. It's a pain to have to sift through all the spam in the spam box just to get to the regular mail.

While it is not the most exciting explanation that you have ever had P1key...No, You are not alone, I have a Lot of problems with my e-mail Providers and half of the time I don't know where to look...so I just figure if all else fails...Go to Spam!!

no friend, you are not alone.. my two of earlier accounts in yahoo had the same problem... so i switched to gmail

i've had days like that too. E-mail can be so annoying. These computers like to conspire against us.

One probable reason why your mail is getting mixed up is that Yahoo has again done some upgrades to their server. When this happens, most of your settings are reset to default and you have to check your settings again. I don't mind if my spam mail goes into my inbox with Yahoo. Because ALL of my spam mail goes into yahoo. I use yahoo as my dummy account, and use another provider that has better security for important mail messages.

I had this happen to me also with my regular email address. I had to switch mine over to my hotmail account to keep it from happening. I do not know why something goes to spam when we signed up to receive it anyway.

happened to me, although I don't remember if they were one day's emails or it just happened randomly I hardly checked my yahoo emails I'm going to cancel them one by one someday

Hi p1ke thanks for letting me know! I have been expecting some mail in my yahoo account but haven't received it so will look in my spam folder, that was the last place I thought of looking...hugs LoLo

hi p1ke. my yahoo mail works well today and notices well properly placed in the box and the spam folder. though there were times in the past that i experienced the same as yours today. it never happened again lately and hope it will never again. hope yours will get back to normal soon.

May be you your Inbox mail box is overloaded. So your mails had gone to your Spam account.

Every so often I get stuff in my spam folder that should go to my inbox, some are even from people on my friends list. Never had it completely swapped though. It's not Contrary Day over there is it?

Yahoo and I don't get along at all, at all, so we just avoid each other........... I did however, get an email (not spam, a real email) from President Obama today telling me I'd won a U.S. government lottery in the amount of $65 million! I about fell off my chair. So I emailed 'him' back and told 'him' that as a Canadian, I didn't need any of his bail out packages as I lived in a very stable country thank you very much and that no, 'he' couldn't buy my identity with false claims! LOL

I also have a yahoo account but hardly ever use it. Seems there was a major glitch in the services today. Not ooking good on their part at all.

I'm kind of impressed by that. No, that's never happened to me, (although I've had my fair share of problems with Hotmail - the worst being when it just wouldn't let me into my account for about a week!!). How did that happen? I'm answering this question from email so I haven't seen any other answers, but I'm interested in whether this is a mess-up that's happened with all Yahoo users or if it's just you! Maybe Yahoo is making a judgement about the mail that you receive, lol! Actually that would be an idea; an ISP that decides, based on the quality of the mail, whether you need to read it or whether it should be chucked straight on the junk-heap! Hope you get it sorted out.

Hey p1key! I have Yahoo too and they really are a mess! I have never had them reverse my mail though! They have done alot of things, but not that! At least not yet anyway! They are slow and constantly having problems like kicking me out altogether! But, that is where I have my mylot account so I try to deal with it! I wish when they do an upgrade that they would actually fix it to work faster with less problems!

Nope... you aren't alone. Mine sent back the mail that came from it's own groups. How odd is that? Yahoo has it's moments of weirdness.
