Is forgiveness essential to all circumstances in life? Is it essenstial for one's well-being? Or is it as some would put it..."just the christian thing to do". What's your take?

Angel...thanks for your comment. It's true that kid\children endangerment is one of the cirumstances in life, that one would find themselves not being able to forgive. I saw a documentary not to long ago on the "green river killer". All the parents of the killer's victims had an opportunity to verbally address the killer himself in court. They all verbally spewed their hate and disgust of this man. All but one, who verbally forgave him for the killing of his very own child. It was the one and only time, the killer broke down and cried. That is not to say all the other parents were not wrong for not forgiving. We all have our own "self-defense mechanisms" for self-preservation. But just some food for thought, in the end, one's pain...should not be contained in a bottle of hate. :)

well i think if you carry around alot of unforgiveness its just hurting you..most the time the other person you havent forgiving doesnt even know your mad or upset at them and they are living a merry ol life and you are seething and spiteful and angry ..i say just forgive and forget about it and live your life in peace
