Where I live it is in the high 60's so we are not running our air even though it is still August. Are you still running yours? What is he temperature where you live?

We don't have a choice. It gets up to the high 90s sometimes in the 100s. It's been pleasant that last few days and we havn't need it as much but it's still needed at night. The boyfriend can't sleep/breathe if he's to hot. I freeze on the other hand but hey what can you do? If I'm here alone I usally turn it off and just bear the heat with less clothes. I'm outside most of the time any ways so the house always seems cooler to me after I've been outside. Today it's in the upper 80s but we're having rain here and there.

We barely hit 90 at all this summer here in Illinois, it's been a rather cool summer. I can't sleep when it is too hot either.

What part of the state are you in Ladym? I live between Quincy and Springfield... it was a relatively cool summer. Makes me worry about what winter will be like...

My central AC is still running. I have a window unit that I run year round, but that's to help filter the air and keep moisture because I have health issues.

I turned ours on last night at around 2 in the morning because it was kind of muggy upstairs. The downstairs was fine, but it is a lot warmer up there then it is down here, and I can't sleep if it is too hot.

I am so spoiled by the air conditioning, I didn't have it growing up, now that I have it I couldn't give it up.

Its 1,000 degrees here in Houston, TX. We left Bakersfield (Bako) California and it was about 109 for two weeks, I went swimming every day so it didn't bother me. But here its hot and humid, I forgot what humidity felt like, its sticky. I've been in a hotel for two weeks and I keep it at 72 degrees, if Obama doesn't like it I don't care.

Yes, we are still running the air. We've been in the hundreds the entire month of August. It's the first time this has happened in history. Today, we are having a cool front. It is 97! Wow, it's like winter! lol - I think we will be running our air until November or so this year. I would give anything to feel 60 degrees at this point.

No not anymore. It around the high 60's or the low 70's where I live. So there is really no need for the air conditioner to be on anymore. If I get hot, I'll just open the window and let the air from outside blow in.

Here in Southern California it's been really hot, although we live in a coastal town so for the most of the summer, we haven't needed the air conditioning; in fact, it's been an incredibly mild "summer", if you can even call it that, here. But the past week we've finally saw some hot temperatures (with is about 85-90, hot for us I guess), and we've been running the AC now even though we weren't previously. The summers here have been known to run into early October in the past, so I am actually hoping that it does cool down again so that we don't go into October like this. But we'll see!

Hi ladym, Everyday after work, we are turning it on. Most of the time it is 70s here but weekend specially morning time, we prefer opening the doors and saving at the same time!

We are still running our air conditioner. Wow it is only in the 60s there. How I wish it was that temperature here. We have stuck in the late 90s early 100s here and its been stuck like that. Hot hot hot. How I cannot wait until the temperatures start dropping here. Even to the 80s here would be real nice at this point. It'll get like 89-90s like in the morning and the temperature keeps on rising as the day goes on. Enjoy your weather. Hope it gets like that here and soon.
