Grind House

I actually get into movies like this, I like the bad acting, the corney story line. This movie had a lot of money to back it up, for good fx's. Better than the average you'd run across in another cheesey movie. This movie wasn't no break through in the genre at all. To me it was just QT giving a nod to the ol' school movies that would play in the grindhouses. At times I have to admit that the movie did drag on, and a lot of these movies did really drag. To be honest, my favorite parts of the whole movie are the fake trailers that run at the beginning and middle of the movie. MACHETE!!! Did you know that they're making that into a whole movie itself?

I haven't seen this movie. To be honest, I've never even heard of it. If it is his typical movie, it is full of blood and violence. Is that the case? I usually feel the same as you do about his movies. They aren't awesome, but they are oddly fascinating. What was this movie about?

I want to see it but nothing is pulling me towards it. I'm not a big fan of QT but some of his movies have that shock element in them so they make for good viewing. I know that him and Eli Roth have teamed up a few times to make some wild movies and if I knew that Grind House was more than just blood and boobs I'd sit down to actually watch it.

I have seen bits and pieces of it, just flipping through the HBO and ENCORE channels on my TV, however I also did find it quite odd. The story line is slightly weird, and the movie is very jumpy. Not a movie I would enjoy.
