Stranger Slapped Crying Child in Wal-Mart!

Okay...
A 61 year old man was shopping at Wal-Wart & he was getting annoyed by a complete stranger & decided to slap this stranger in the face...
Guess what?
The stranger was a little toddler girl who was shopping with her mommy & happen to be crying a little to much... I guess?
Roger Stephens, the 61 year old man who slapped the todder told the mother to shut her child up or he would shut the child up himself!
OMG!
Can you believe that?
What gives him the right? He has no right at all!
Anyway, some other people who saw what happened called the police & held this old grumpy man down until they arrived!
Just look at his picture, he looks really mean! Poor girl! I bet she was in shock!
If that was me & my child, omg, someone would have to hold me back because that old man would be 100 feet in the ground when I was done with him!
Shame on him!
Anyway, I will talk on & on about this..

He must be sick. Anyone who does that is not in his own right mind. It's a clear distinction that he is mentally disturbed and therefore cannot make right judgment or deportment. he must be having some issues himself and he should be in the psychiatric hospital not in jail LOL!
I feel so sorry for the child and the mother.

And he didn't just slap this little girl once. He hit her at least 4 times!
If a stranger did this to my kids even once I'd be the one going to jail because I'd beat the living crap out of him/her for doing that to either of my kids. 
I know it's wrong to take the law into our own hands, but sometimes the law should be broken (like in this little girl's case). Because nobody has the right to do that to someone else's child. Nobody.

Mothers would have had to cover their children's ears to protect their babies from the venom that spewed from my mouth when that piece of s... first told me to make my child shut up. If he dared to put a hand on my child....well just go on and call the morgue. He is certifiable...but I don't think there is a cure. How dare he!!!!! Kudos to the people who held him and called the police.

As somebody who does not even believe in spanking, I would probably forget myself and just start beating that man (ancient or otherwise) into a pulp and we'd just see each other in court! I usually make allowances for people and their idiosyncrasies, but nobody hurts my child, esp in front of me.

Hi Foxxee,
Nasty nasty man, how dare he do something like that to a child. Thank goodness it was none of my children. Mine used to throw themselves on the floor in fits of crying to get what they wanted but no one has ever rebuked them rather smile and shake their heads. Maybe this man has no children of his own and maybe no Family but that does not give him any right to slap children even if he is on his own. Children grow up in a difficult world already with all sorts of influences thrown at them. I´ve noticed children are crying a lot more than usual lately are more fractious and more tired out. However we have been having extremely hot weather so maybe thats one of the reasons.
However I hope that nasty man never comes here to do that he would soon get clobbered the Spanish are very quick tempered.

I heard about this in another Mylot discussion earlier. I do not think that was right at all with what the person did to the child. I do not know what the world is coming to anymore with people doing things like this.

I pity the old man or anyone who slaps my child, they would have to peel me off of him..I would file charges on him,it ia against the law to attact a child....What an idiot, bet if he does have kids they do not like him..

Hello Foxxee. It is unappropriate of the old man to slap the crying little girl however hard she cries. For sure, lots of people on the spot would condemn him for what he had done to the poor girl to have received a sudden slap by him. I hope that little girl was not seriously hurt. Take care.

I can't even believe that this man would even consider slapping a child, let alone actually doing it and doing it to a child he didn't even know! I can't believe this! It's just horrible! I can't believe that someone would do such a thing, especially to a little girl! I'm having a difficult time understanding what was going through his mind and understanding his behavior.

That is really unacceptable to anyone. Someone giving a slap to a toddler just because she was crying! Well, the person must be a crazy or have a defective brain set. Anyway, thanks for bringing the news to us. If I were the mother of the toddler, probably I would have slapped him back instantly at the moment he had slapped my daughter. The mother of the kid must be surprized by the act and behaviour of this senior citizen. Disgusting........

Wow, this is definately one for the books. I agree with you, if that had been my child, the people in walmart would have had to hold me back. I can definately say that this guy would be missing a few teeth if he ever tried anything like that with my child. This man has NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER! How dare he touch that little girl, I pitty his children if he has any. This man should hang his head in shame, I cannot believe that he had the audacity to do this to another person's child, I would neve consider doing something like that, even if it was my child crying, that is what children sometimes do. I hope that this guy gets what he deserves and I hope that this poor little girl isn't hurt emotionally either.

That is really disturbing! Poor child. Someone like him should not be on the loose. He had no right to slap a stranger's child like that. He should remain at home is he is moody like that. I hope that the parents decide to press charge against the man to teach him a lesson. I hope that the child is ok now. Must have been a very terrifying experience for her. Looking at the man's face, we can see that he is a mean person.

That is shocking! What a horrible man! I suppose when he was younger, it was more common for people to slap their children so maybe he thought it was more acceptable, but the fact that the child wasn't even his grand-child or anything....what right does he have to interfere?!
