I have a lot of friends who use msn too and fortunately, I am able to incorporate them into my friends list on yahoo, so even if they are logged into msn, I will see them online in my yahoo. The reason I use yahoo is because I like the feature of being able to add a link to my status, and as I said before, I can put a yahoo messenger box on any website I use so people can still chat with me even if they are not yahoo users. You'll be able to see it on my profile. Anyone who visits my profile can chat to me on yahoo messenger even if they don't have messenger on their computer xoxo Cyne

I generally use Yahoo Messenger myself. I like that I can add a ping box to my profiles like the one I have here at myLot. That allows anyone to talk to me when I'm logged into messenger even if they don't have a messenger account. xoxo Cyne

My favourite messenger is Yahoo Messenger. But i also use MSN Messenger. I have alot of friends on both messengers. So i think my choices is YM and MSN. I think both YM and MSN have collaborating together in messenger services, so it's almost no different between these two different messenger. These both have practically same features. I don't think if i will try to use other's messenger at this time because YM and MSN are the best for me so far. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

I only use yahoo messenger. I have not used other messengers so far so I do not know the advantages and dis-advantages of them. Yahoo messenger seems to work well for me so far so I have not tried other messengers yet.

I totally forgot about ICQ. I used ICQ before I changed to Yahoo Messenger. I think Skype is having a free service too if you want to make a call among the skype's users.

AIM is my messenger of choice. I like it the best plus all of my friends have it. When someone tells me they do not have aim and they have something else like yahoo or msn I am shocked. AIM seems to be the most popular where I am. I do have accounts with skype though and Gtalk as a result of having a gmail account, which is the best email account I have ever had.

Different country has different preference. In my country, Yahoo and MSN are the most popular used regionally. Well, number one is Yahoo and then MSN. In China, as far as I know, the most popular one is MSN and QQ.

i have lots of friends and family in yahoo so i use it more often. i only use msn with my boyfriend if theres a problem with yahoo. sometimes my cam freeze in yahoo so we need to use an alternative chat site. my cam works well in msn but i guess i like skype more but i seldom use it since none of my friends and family using it. it really doesnt matter what chatting site did you use. what matter is it will work well without freezing or interruption.

My sister is using yahoo messenger to talk to her boyfriend. The cam works well without freezing. In fact, she cannot use the MSN. The cam didn't work, I am not sure what was the problem.

I have MSN (or Windows Live Messenger as Microsoft likes to call it) and Yahoo Messenger. I use to use both at one point, but then I stopped using it and solely used MSN. I use to go on MSN a lot before, but now I barely sign on. I guess it's because most of my friends back then are no longer on it as well.

Yes, one of the reason we choose a particular messenger is depending on our friends. If our friends are using MSN more then we will use MSN too. If they change to Yahoo Messenger, then we will move to YM as well. Like the main function of the messenger is to communicate with friends, so we follow where our friends go.
