Why do cats insist on stepping on your keyboard when you are typing?!?

Ok, I know they want attention, to be loved and they get tons of that! But it always cracks me up that my kitties have to step on my keyboard when I'm using my computer or step on the newspaper when I'm reading it. My little calico, Bonnie, especially loves the keyboard. She pressed shift, space, and a whole bunch of letters, just like she was trying to communicate.

Because they can! They also like the warmth if you're using a laptop. Plus - just because they're cats and they have to be obstinate.

My cat wants attention ALL the time! She could care less if I'm trying to type a random thought or an important letter. If she wants to be loved and stroked, then she will find her way into my lap. For the most part, I don't mind...she's a cute kitty and it's unconditional love, so I'll take it, even if it's on my keyboard...ha, ha. :-D

I'd like to know that too lol. My cat Secret does that sometimes when I am on the laptop.

After my cat stepped on my keyboard while I was raiding Naxx on WoW and caused us to wipe. She no longers gets near the computer while I am on it.
