Hello mylot people :) Actually from past few years i am not able to figure out what is the difference between confidence and over confidence. What i believe is what seems to be confident for you is over confident for others and vice-versa. I mean when you are confident about something others think that you are over-confident which always put me in a dilemma that what actually "confidence" is. This put me in under confidence lol that am i sure about a certain thing or not? lol Thanks for responses Happy Mylotting

Hi Abhii, when confidence is over, it is called overconfidence. . Really. . On a serious note, the level of confidence that takes u to the level of failing is overconfidence. How do u know the difference? U dont - until the event is over! That is from where the prefix "over" comes. If u succeed, u will be as famous as Bill Gates, if u fail - u will be Omar Sheriff. But dont worry, u will be somebody. Be happy. :-)

Success and self-confidence depend on you being willing to go for your dreams even when things are hard, when you are tired and discouraged and you don't seem to be making any progress. This is a true test of character and it's often here that your breakthrough will come. Not underestimating about ourselves is self-confidence,over estimating about ourselves is over confidence.

I think it's definitely subjective depending on how cautious one is. I mean, the confidence of a happy-go-lucky person would seem cocky and as you say "overconfident" for a more conservative cautious person.

"To much of something is bad enough."So confidence is good but over confidence is bad.:)
