It was in my school days that I did not have my purse.I used to keep the money given by my parents in the pocket. When I came to college I purchased a purse & since then the money is kept in the purse.Other than the money , the driving licence , my passport size photos , my visiting cards , a photo of Lord Ganesha , credit cards & photos of my near & dear ones fit in my purse. What about you?

I never keep a purse with me. I will always keep in my pockets only. Whenever I am going out I will have a handbag with me. My credit cards, ID card, PAN Card, Business cards and the ATM cards will keep in the handbag only. Anyway , I never developed the habit of keeping a purse in my pockets . The reason may be the fear of pickpocketing.

hello varghese, Is it the fear of pickpocketing or is it the fear of someone(your friends) coming to know that you have lots of money in your pocket? I think its easy to keep all your belongings what you have mentioned , in a purse. If a pick pocketeer wants to pickpocket then he needs only the pocket whether you have the purse of just the money.

Hi Krupesh - great avatar! My money is in my purse not in my pockets. I have one that contains everything I need including driving license and identity cards too so that I can just grab it and go out without necessarily having a handbag with me too. I have never left money or anything else in my pockets for fear of it ending up in the washing machine. I have two purses, one for English money as I go back frequently to UK and don't bother changing it back into euros each time, and one for Italian.

I saw your avatar for the first time a few hours ago and as soon as I saw it I wondered indeed if there was any reference to all the garbage that was on here yesterday Very appropriate - well done! Make-up - what's that? lol I have never used a lot of make-up and if I need it with me because of a special occasion then it is in a small bag inside my handbag but that is only on rare occasions these days. I prefer the natural look

Wow, natural look hehe.. Well, natural is where true beauty is. And like you Di I also have my money in my wallet or purse. I also have the fear of destroying my washing machine because coins might get stuck when doing the laundry. So I always check pockets before throwing pants into the washer.

Earlier I was in government job and was required formal suits. Therefore I used to carry a hand bag and also keep my money in the bag. But I took retirement in December 2005 and since then I rarely wear suits. I find wearing pants more relaxing. It also is easy to carry money in the pocket of pants and small pouch containing credit cards and mobile phone remains in the dash board of car. Though everyone has been advising me to carry hand bag, but now after so many years, I find it difficult to carry.

Hi krupesh, I dont know where I keep my money. I find my purse always empty. :( My father plays Santa everytime and fills it, even at this age. And before I know I spend it away. :) Wonder how I am going to manage. And to think I am a cancerian, supposed to be hoarder??? Find it hard to believe in Linda Goodman.

Hello the cleverer one, Linda Goodman never said that you will have full money in your purse , but she said it would be in the banks. As you are clever & get the things done by others this is one more cleverness of yours to have the purse filled with money by your dad. By the way whats ya age?

Ouch! u dont wanna know! I am 50 and loving every second of it. . Seriously - it is not as bad as they portray it. And I am still treated like a child by almost everybody, including my maid, and the watchman, and the baker, and vegetable vendor, and of course my neighbors, friends, and family - all because of my baby face. Many of my friends who "take care" of me are younger than u! :-) And I'm loving it.

I use a wallet that I keep in my purse. I keep my money and my credit card and bank card and driver's licence and medical card. Then I have a couple pictures of my two nephews who are the youngest kids in the family, or I should say were as my son and his wife just had a baby, my first grandchild, a granddaughter. I don't have a small picture yet of my granddaughter, to carry in my wallet, but I have lots of pictures of her on my cell phone and that's even better because I can show her off to all of my friends. I try not to carry too much in my purse, like my passport or birth certificate because those are harder to replace if my purse were to be stolen.

Mostly i keep the money in the purse when i am going out then i keep change in the pockets as here life is very fast, if i take time to remove money people will shout at me.I keep my cards, some contacts, the rain pass and photos in my purse.I am always alert in crowded places and see that no one puts hand in my pocket.

I always keep my money in my wallet. I can not take money without my wallet. However I have a small problem with my coins. I never realised the coins are so important in our daily life in the UK. Because I have no space in my wallet for coins so I always put coins at home or just gave them to my husband. When I went out and I met problem when I needed coins. I wish the coins will end the function here and I can use more cards in my life. By the way keeping money in wallet or purse is a good way to keep money tidy but not good way to avoid stealing. So be careful.

I don't like to have money just laying in the bottom of the pocket, as it could just easily fall out and be lost while sitting down. I do have a wallet where the money is nice and safe, and can also keep my cards in it :) But I guess it could be a very big hassle if you was to loose that :/ That reminds me, I need to get a new wallet, my coins compartment has a hole in it :D Lee.

i used to have a wallet, even now. But I always experienced losing it, so when you lose your wallet, you will lose your valuables and money. so from now on I did not put any cards or id in my wallet to prevent it. But I keep on losing my wallet, so from now on, I did not put lot of money inside my wallet. but I keep on losing my wallet still, so from now on I did not use a wallet. LOl. no, honestly I do have a wallet but money is not on it, it is on the purse, all the receipt is on the wallet LOL.

i have always had a wallet with me. my mum gave me a wallet to put stuff in when i was a child. as i grow older, there are more stuff in my wallet. i was prone to losing my wallet when i was younger. thankfully i stopped losing my wallet about ten years ago. the trouble of replacing all the identification cards and stuff is enough to make me very careful. however, there are times when i chuck money in my pocket or straight into my bag. these are usually change from buying something and i'm too lazy to dig my bag for my wallet.
