I feel like I was left behind, I am thirty eight and now starting my first degree. I have a good job, a good life, but I feel something is missing. I must try, there are so few members of my family with a degree in their posession.

I just want to say : KEEP ON MOVING ON. Age is not something which is able to prevent yourself pursuing your education. Education is ageless and everybody can be part of it, regardless how old they are. =)

Well, 38 isn't really that old and there are far many people far worse than you as might know. However you must be aware that it requires a lot of your personal time, and that motivating yourself when you already work might be a difficult task. Good luck in case you go ahead.

Its never too late to start! You are an example for others to show that at any age, you can chase your dreams! Good luck! It is hard, but in the end so very worth the effort that you put in to it!

It will never be late!Good luck.Nevertheless,do not try to gain a degree just because few of your family memebers have it.There should be really un-denied reasons to do this.Anyway,it ia amazing and try it.

Welcome to myLot! If you feel that education is the only thing that's missing in your life to make you fully, genuinely happy, then you made the right decision to go back to school and pursue a degree. I admire your determination, couple it with perseverance and you're on your way to your diploma. Way to go, Rose!!!

It's never too late! Although I went to college for a few years after high school, my education was interrupted by motherhood. I finally went back and got my BA degree in my mid-40s. I got so much more out of college the second time around. Maybe it was the life experiences I'd accumulated over the 25 years. One invaluable lesson I learned was how to be a lifelong learner. Good luck and stick with it. You'll never regret it!
