Have you seen a bald woman?

I can assure that we rarely get to see a bald woman. This is because, the gene responsible for baldness is recessive in females and dominant in males. Therefore, a few woman gets bald. I don' think people ever had such a crazy thought in their mind. But once the thought came to my mind, I just posted it in the form a discussion to see how many of you had seen a bald woman. I had seen only one woman so far who is known to be bald and I never saw her without a wig.

I mean bald women aren't hard to come by. It's not like they are a dying species or something. Most women these days are cutting their hair just because. I have plenty of blad friends in my neck of the woods. Now I'm not sure if they just lost their hair and decided to help the situation by cutting off the rest, all I know is they are bald and thats that. Hair doesn't make you, even though most women need hair to protect their self esteem. It takes a truely self knowing person to be able to walk around bald and feel confident at the same time.

Well, I was not talking about those who had shaved their hairs. I was practically talking about those who won't grow hairs on their skull. They are bald due to hair fall. May be they had encountered some ailments of the skin or something. A common factor for getting bald is the cancer patients who undergo CHEMOTHERAPY. But, that is a special condition and one can exclude those too.

i have not seen one, only in tv before, a woman got interviewed because shes a who is bald, and when i was watching a reality show, where the woman choose to shave her head for a charity or something...but i have not seen one face to face.. i might seen some woman who have thin hair, or has hair that keeps falling...but not the complete bald...

I was not talking about shaved heads. I was talking about natural baldness which is common in males. Anyway, you had seen one on the tv that is good. I don't know how much importance you had in your place to have hairs in the head, specially for woman, but in our place, an woman without hair has trouble getting a groom........

I know a girl who is completely bald. It happened in her teens and she doesn't wear a wig now, she just shows who she is and isn't embarrassed by her. She's fab!

Well, you are that lucky to see a gal in her bald head. The one I had seen was an woman and she wears wig all the time. May be because she is afraid of being teased by the passers by. These type of situations are rare and so we don't get to see them often.

I have a friend that I worked with a few years ago that became bald. She told me it ran in her family but if you want me to be honest I think it was where she and I worked together. See she trained me at the job and we were around a lot of paint thinner and I think that being exposed to something of that nature can cause you many prolems down the road. So much so that you hade to wear this suit in order to clean with it! But I looked at this way for me do I want money or my safety. What do you think I picked? I left that job and I will never look back. I do not want to be bald and I feel for people that are or will be. In the end I hope for the best and I pray for people in that situation. yes, i have seen one or two or a few of them. but they are the ones who are undergoing medical processes as in chemotherapy. they grow their hair though after the process.
