I am now working on my paper with subject Desired Course vs. Course with Indemand jobs. What do you think should college students take? Should they pursue the course that they want but has insufficient job opportunities or courses that have indemand jobs after graduation?

For practicality and to get a job, one's should pursue the in demand jobs because if you follow your likes and get the degree whom you like. You would likely get disappointed when your choice of degree is not demand..will likely end up as unemployed..

Hi pjsr18, I now understand why a 19 year old would want to be friends with me. :) Thank u for asking me to be ur friend. :) I am honored. :) Well, I'd first find out whether it is possible to pursue the desired course. I'd also like to know the financial position of the student in question. If the student is from sound financial background, my advise to him would be to take up the desired course. I think each of us has some input to offer to the world. It may be small or big. A lot of faith in what we have to offer is required. Like Bill Gates, who knew what he was talking about. So going against stream is not at all objectionable. But it is preferable when there is no fear of hunger looming large. Personally, i believe a person shines more in life when he or she is doing what he or she likes the best. Course with indemend jobs are also a phase pjsr. They will not remain in demand foreover. What will happen then? But if the financial position is not good enough, then I'd advise to go with the stream, hoard enough for the lean period, and if possible return to the desired course at a later date. Hope I have given a satisfactory answer. :)

They can take their desired course. But they need to aware that they have to compete with limited slots as their range of jobs available for them maybe limited. Taking a course with demand jobs is a good idea. But I still preferred to try my desired course. At least I've taken it and I already know whether it's good for me or not. If not I may still wondering about it.
