Have you gotten your flu shot yet this season?

No I did'nt get it yet but I am planning on it cause Im a big baby when Im sick!lol

My employer pays for one, and so I get one. I think for some people it is not as effective as for others. I work with kids, so I am in a high risk position. I have had the real deal flu three to four times in my life. I remember twice at least before I started getting the shot. Those times felt like my bones were being wrenched apart and I was miserable. I felt it coming on and there was no stopping it. Most recently I had the flu year before last, but it seemed like almost nothing. I was not even sure it was the flu until the doctor did a culture. I actually had not had the shot that year because I had changed jobs. Things that help are to make sure you eat right and get plenty of sleep. You build more antibodies. I have a friend who swears by "Thieves Oil", but that is a totally different discussion. Fun to research on the internet.

Ill take my chances with the flu :P My mother made me get it two years in a row, and each time I had it I got the *worst* cold/flu I have ever experienced. The kind where you just sleep for 7 days straight and dont move except to have people force soup down your throat :P The third year came and mum conceded to the fact that there was no way in hades I was getting another shot :P
