mobile phones - - - - losing our culture due to them?????????????

Hello friends. I am putting here a very interesting sort of discussion and which I think is actually true to some standards. Some times ago, we don't have mobile phones rather only landlines and no caller ID installed in them. So, we tend to say hello or any other salutation whenever we receive a phone. But now a days as we have mobiles in hand and they show us the caller's ID, we can guess who the other person is and if he/she is not a very respectful person, we just tend to start our talking by simply saying "yes tell whats the matter". I can see this many times, whenever I see some of my friends talking to other and me. What do you think in this regard? Also there are some more such kind of things that happen normally when we talk on mobile. Share here if you know any of these. Thanks for your response in advance.

Mobile phones these days seem to have become an extension of our mouths and ears.We seem to have forgotten to write normally as well thanks to the SMS boom! We tend to abbreviate whatever we want to say and have even developed a new SMS language with separate dictionaries available for it! Further, we seem to have forgotten the days when we used to try and be alone for some time - away from people we meet and talk to every day. Nowadays there is no escape - one is always on call; thanks to the mobile.

Hello friend. Thanks for your comments. I think you are right that mobile have become an integral part of our life and they are actually taking us away from proper grammatical speaking skills and even proper mannered talks. Happy myLotting.

In reality i think is just a new way to see things especially in relation to the landlines phones !!Normally i will have the same behaviour on my phone than i had when i talked on my landline one excluding some friends as well...so from my point of view this is not a real changing about culture!!

I don't believe we're losing our culture, or even changing, because of cell phones at all... It just made our lives a little more easier & more convinient...

i don't like answering calls if i don't recognize the number. of if the number is not listed on my lists and it does not show the name of the caller. i will wait for them to text me or i will text them and ask them who they are before i will allow them to call me again if i think i know them.

Hello friend. Thanks for your response. Actually my question is a bit different from what you think. Actually, I am saying that if we know the caller then we just tend to talk to the caller straightforward, instead of greeting him/her. Please respond to what you think in this regard. Happy MyLotting.

I don't think that we're losing our culture at all. Actually it's just that the culture and the upbringing of a person is shown through how they respond on the phone. It's really how they would act and it just shows that they're not afraid to show who they really are.

Thanks for your response my friend. So, looking at your response, I think that you believe that if a person talks rude or does not greet the other person, it is that person's fearlessness. Is it so? Please respond. Happy MyLotting.
