What would you do if a stranger slapped your child?

Hi Tuckersheri, When I read this title my first thought was 'I would slap them back!' I think it would be a similar reaction to that (after I had overcome the shock that is! I would probably be gawking first lol). I would find it so hard to understand why someone would go and hit my child. I tend to hope that if I ever have one that he/she will be really well behaved and courteous to people, so if they still got slapped I would be horrified. If I could take them to court and stuff I probably would (especially if it could mean money), but other than that I am don't know! All the best, Dranz

You said it all. I would never never and never let someone else treat my child badly. They would be really sorry to have dared in doing so. They have no right what so ever.

Be sure I will be mad at the people who slaps my child. I don't allow it. I don't agree any kinds of these abuses to any children. Even if they are wrong, but you should not slap or beat on them. I even won't do this to my child. How others can even do that? I love China

I'd get my kid (and other kids) out of the way or until they will not see what I'd do. I'd confront the stranger or even slap him back! Even if it would result to a messy fight (It won't get messy anyway, I had two years of formal Army Combat Training). I won't even listen to the reason why'd he slapped my kid.

Wow! If any one slapped my child I think that I would go ballistic... Someone would have to pray to God that I wouldn't really physically hurt them because, my child, my baby, is my everything!

Im afraid i would not be able to keep my cool. No other person has a right to use physical punishment on someone elses child. Even a parent can be charged with child abuse for slapping thier own child. I think this person would be charged and spend some time in jail or at least i would hope they would. Sometimes its hard to prove it in court and im sure this person wouldnt be admitting to slapping the child.

I would not tolerate that either. I would call the police and I would also have someone to help me make sure they do not leave while we are waiting for them to show up. They do not have the right to lay on hand on anyone anyway.

I can't even imagine what i would do if I saw that. I don't even slap my child. I would definitely get the police involved and press charges to the fullest. That is not only abuse, it is taking discipline much father than I would take it and I know my child being very sensitive would be traumatized by that. That is a definite no no!!

Anyone who touches my child would wish he/she was not born. I am not into cat fight but all my friend's knows that I would make sure they got what they deserve. Might it be a person or a group I will not back out. No one has the right to hurt them in any way. If they have a problem with my child talk to me.

Well yes you right and who is that stranger to beat innocent child , and yes ofcousre not even one person in this world will allow their chiladren to get slapped by some stranger i would not hesitate to do anything like to harm that person no one is allowed to touch even my child if he does then he should be ready with the upcoming problems he will be dealing in future .

tuckersheri, i will slap him/her too. he/she will really be sorry for doing that to my kid. i will make his/her day, a day that he/she will never forget as long as he/she lives. i will really MAKE an IMPACT in his/her life... MY SLAP WILL SAY IT ALL FOR ME! NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO HURT MY CHILD... NO WAY! then i will go to the nearest precinct or police station and file charges.

If I saw stranger slapped my child, before I will take any actions I will first asked why did he slapped my child? If he doesnt explain it properly and turned out that its not my child's fault. i will punish him and put him into jail. i wont tolerate somebody hurting my child without a valid reason.

woh! no kids yet but im scared of what i can do to that stranger if that happened to my nephews. am always with them on weekends playing with them at the mall. ü

if a stranger slapped my child, i will first ask if why did he or she do that. of course one should look at both sides even if my child is the slapped here. and if my child is innocent, i would definitely bring him in a police station. here in our country, child abuse can cause your much charges.

I heard about the recent issue concerning this, where the child was being fussy and the stranger thought he'd discipline the child. I do not think a person is ever justified to lay their hands on another person's child in order to correct their behavior. It is a parent's responsibility to control their child- it is not a stranger's responsibility to step in for their own personal benefit.

If the stranger is not a child, then definitely I would consider it an abuse. No matter how bad my child has done, no one has the right to hurt him/her. I think there is not enough reason in this world for a person to hurt an innocent child.
