Have you ever wanted to talk to someone but you didn't know what to say so you asked them a question you either really didn't the answer to or knew the answer already? I had a bit of a crush on a boy in high school, so before math class one day I asked him about the homework, I had already done the homework and knew it well, but it gave me a reason to talk to him. Have you ever done this?

Surprisingly, I have! Hahaha!! I had a crush on a boy in our choir, and he was playing the guitar. He really played well (I mean wickedly) and I was amazed by his talent (not to mention he was super cute). During one of our breaks during rehearsal, he started tinkering with his guitar and belted out the first notes of "Sweet Child of Mine". By some stupid force or something, I walked towards him and asked him outright if he was playing "Sweet Child of Mine". Duh question. I wanted to take the words back but I ended up fumbling over my words with "I'm sorry, I meant do you play other songs other than this?" Stupid!!!!!

I was really embarrassed after this and I couldn't look his way for quite a few days! LOL. Oh well, there are just times when we get all giddy and excited and we simply make fools of ourselves. :D

Awe how sweet :) I've probably asked a few questions I knew the answer to just to strike up a convo, I usually just give the standard guy head nod instead of initiating a surface discussion. Now, in order to talk to my wife (before I met her) I asked a friend who she was, does that count?

I'm not sure if I have done this or not. I know that I do play "dumb" quite often when I don't know what to say to someone. I will pretend that I don't know or understand what they are saying in an effort to make conversation. It seems to work quite well, although sometimes I wonder if I am making myself look bad. I hate awkward silences, so I will do that in order to avoid them.
