I thought about it the other day actually and noticed there were 100 days to go. I've begun making plans and I'm now into spring cleaning. I haven't cleaned properly since the family were here last Christmas....the shock of having everyone and the pets here has only just begun to wear off.

I have thought of Christmas and what I am going to do this year. It is always best to be prepared insterad of starting out with no list or anything and walking around in circles trying to figure out who needs or wants what. Who likes this or that..and who prefers a gift card. I don't do the cards though till After Thanksgiving...SO if you want to be on my mailing list..gotta P.M. me your address about that time and I will get a card to you.
It is also the best time to start hinting to hubby what I want for Christmas. But I do hope that this Christmas is 10 better then last ones.

I miss the days when kids were satisfied with the gifts they got and didn't throw snotty fits when they think they didn't get what they want or deserved. I have some of those in my and my husbands family. To them Christmas is all about stuff that they get..and how much..Not supposed to be that way..

I bought the first present today, it time to get started or I will be behind this year, year before last I had most of it done by this time. What about 90 left before and they will go fast. I would like a new tree this year might get a real one for a change, it just they want so much for them, and what a mess after awhile if you put up early. All my cards i send online so that is easy to do.

The clerk at the post office couldn't cash a post office money order the other day for me, she said with everyone sending birthday cards, christmas, cards, etc over the internet, it has cut the cash that is being spent at the post office greatly. And people are now paying bills over the net too, so mail has dropped a lot.

My decorations never made it up to the attic so they're handy in my spare bedroom! I've got to start making presents if I'm to finish on time, I'm making most people vegetable bags to keep their produce fresh longer. And pillows made of used fabric softener sheets, those are great. I have to shop for material soon!
But I'm really looking forward to Halloween first, that's such a fun night! I love handing out candy to kids and biscuits to dogs!

Our decorations are in the garage, as is the tree. Halloween was never celebrated here like you do. But it is more commercial now and we get our share of ghouls and warlocks come to the door. We give candy too. I refuse to give money - I'm a Scrooge!

I was horrified the other night when one of the current affairs shows said there were 100 days until Christmas, and our large stores have already put out their decorations. I think there should be a ban on all yuley stuff until 1 November, at LEAST! They're starting earlier every year, and it makes for most of us being TOTALLY OVER IT by the end of October, if not sooner! Bah, humbug!

Hey p1key! You are the second person today that has mentioned
that Christmas is almost here! I hadn't even given it any
thought until I responded to that discussion! And here it
is half way through September and it really is almost here
if you really think about it! And I'm just not ready to think
about it yet! It is just way too soon! I don't ever start
doing my shopping until December anyway! I am more of a
last minute shopper anyway! So as far as I'm concerned I have
plenty of time!

Are you serious P1ke??? I am still preparing for our Mabon celebration, and our New Year (Samhain). I own't begin even thinking about the Yule until after the Samhain. I will say we're putting some monies coming in directly into savings though so we'll be able to buy a goose this year for the Yule.

I have been thinking about Christmas because it is right around the corner. I would like to buy a new tree this year. We decided to not spend too much this Christmas though. We really do not need much right now anyway. I will send cards too though.

hi pikey oh dear not the C word? we havent had hAlloween yet nor'Thanksgiving, oh my aching head.I havent the least idea'of whAt I would give anyone but know its going to be most inexpensive whatever'it might be. And to think I have to spend Christmas here again,no I guess I am in a bad mood today After yesterdays banking fiasco all due to my motormouth roomie who cannot keep from talking and talking and talking some more.so I took our 32 dollars from my bank account and transferred it to paypal when all I ever intended to do w as take mylot earnings and transfer them to my banking account. now do you think that paypal or bank of america either one would help me to undo that horrid error no way! now I have to wait two days for all the stuff to clear and take the thirty two dollars out of paypal and put backinto my bank all becAuse this woman could not stop talking to me for ten minutes, darn. I know I made the error but I was trying to do two things at once and banking and yakking about the news just dont go together.

Yes, 3 more moths and it will be the joyous season of all. I haven't done any shopping because as of now, life here is very difficult, i don't know if i will be able to buy all the gifts i need to. I have thought of getting the decorations out of the storage too but i do not givie out cards much today. I greet friends on line and send them graphic comments. There are sosme shops here that have started playing carols since the first day of September. It is so nice to hear them and it lifts the spirit but i can't help thinking about how we will be able to celebrate Christmas the way we used to. I guess i am not ready for Christmas yet.

I'm ready for Christmas and New Year. I'm not a Chrsitian. But I respect Jesus Christ. More important to me is New Year. A New year is coming with new hope and dream. On the other hand we are forwarding to another step to our final day.Yes I'm thinking about presentation and cards.
