Do you journal and if so is it therapy, memory help, or an extension of your writing? Does it make you feel like you have accomplished something? How many pages do you write in your journal and how often? Is this a must do or just out of boredom? Does it help you feel better if done for therapy?

I think it is fun to look back over them from time to time.

I use to write in a journal all of the time... I quit for a long time... Certain people would take my journal, and read my thoughts.. and use them against me.. Now I write about once a month or so... If anyone happens to read it its there problem in how they interpret what I am writing, and second of all its none of their business.. When I have deep thoughts that I really can not or unwilling to share with others.. I will write them there; just to get it off my chest.. Yes I have done a journal for a therapist before.. but now its something that I can look back on, to see how I am reacting to life... its like a way for me to monitor myself...Have problems with my memory, so this is a way that I can keep in touch with myself.. Not sure if that make sense or not..

I am sorry you had trouble like this. That seems to happen alot. What would be funny is to write two. One that is just obscene and crazy and the other your real life. Make sure the jerk that read your other one gets ahold of the former. Haha. Yes, I would do it too.! Sure it makes sense.

Back in the day I definately did keep a journal and feel overall that this is a Great way to learn to express yourself while telling some things that you've kept bottled in as well. I am not sure what ever happened to most of the journals I kept but the writings I do still have usually mean something more to me later than the day I first wrote them as well. But for me now adays unless it is writing more for my Book I eventually would Love to get published, Writing is a great way to express yourself and relieve some of your many stressors causing problems for you as well.
