I just saw the last episode of one of my favorite soaps of all time.It started for me with the Kelly- Morgan love story. and then it was the Philip-Beth- Rick-Mindy storyline, It always had great storylines and they told them in a realistic way. My all time favorite storyline was the Reva- Josh- Solida/Sunny love triangle. It was great because there wasn't a true villain.I like the way they ended it. It was nice. Did yo like the ending? What was your favorite storyline? ps " Always Bud. always Reva."

well, its been a few months and I am so missing this show. I taped the last episode but haven't brought myself to watch it because I just didn't love the ending. LOVED the show, but wanted more of an ending instead of this ending they created of those living in springfield going on. was it open ended in hopes that it would get picked up again? I sure hope so. There is nothing to watch on television as far as I'm concerned.

By the time Guiding Light aired their final episode I had been away from the show for about 20 years.I Had to see the ending but it was fun to try to put the pieces together. I liked the ending .Ironically ,after seeing the ending I have come back to Days Of Our Lives and Y and R

Well I never liked Reva or the overacting actress who played her so I was always hoping that Reva would really die one of the many times she was close. I would have preferred that Jeffery no be left out in the cold in an eternal hunt for Edmund. It was strange that Marah was not even mentioned as well as Harley or Alan Michael for that matter. I thought they spent too much time on Reva and not enough on Marina or Natalia.

It was sad to hear the show was ending. The actors worked so hard to do the show and now have to find another job. I was stunned to hear it was over.

I watch soaps, but never that one, but still... it is a shame such a long running show has to close out. Wasn't it 75 years..from radio to tv? How can something with such a proven fan base go off the air? Unless the writters just didn't want to do it anymore. But it sure is sad.

You are correct,it was the first soap on the radio. When it came to t.v.I believe most of the actors came too. I think it was the same old story, their ratings were low. Here ,Guiding Light was up against both General Hospital And Dr. Phil.I left 18 years ago because they " killed" off my favorite character.I just came back this week to say goodbye.
