Do you or have you ever purchased rotisserie chickens from the grocery store?

Every once in a while I need a break from cooking, but I still want to give my family a home cooked meal, so I pick up a couple of rotisserie chickens. For $4.99 a piece it is no more expensive than if I bought the chicken and cooked it myself so why not? Do you buy rotisserie chickens on occasion?

Rotisserie Chicken - This is a picture of a rotisserie chicken
Once in awhile my family picks up a couple of chickens from the store and a few other things and that makes a meal. I work in Produce at a local store and that is right by the deli where they sell the chickens. You would be amazed. Alot of people do buy these chickens and take them home to eat. We have 3 flavors at our store to choose from.

Sometimes. The last time I had severe food poisoning from it, though, so I haven't done it in a while.

That is terrible. They must have used old chickens or not cooked it well enough.

I see it all the time in the deli's but I've never tried it. I've pretty much quit eating meat so it's not really appealing to me. Hubby loves chicken but he's partial to fried chicken. !!Happy Halloween!! ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Oh my gosh yes. Buying a rotisserie chicken is one of the very few things that I buy pre done. It is actually my husband who use to do this when he was a single dad and still likes to have it once in a while to this day. I had never had it until I met him but I sure do apprciate the ease it brings to my day when we do have it. Plus it taste so good. What do you normally have with the chicken when you do have it for dinner?

Yea, these things are great when you don't want to cook. We can never eat the whole thing so I'll take all the meat off once we're done and make chicken sandwiches for the next few days out of it. We like the BBQ and Lemon Pepper, the garlic ones are nasty.

Yes, I usually buy one of those once during a month. I think they are really good and it makes for a quick dinner. I usually buy the chicken and then make stuffing and broccoli. It's actually one of my favorite meals! It seems pretty healthy as well. I am all about quick and easy meals. It's also not much more expensive than buying a whole chicken and cooking it myself, so I just go for it!
