Do you still print your pictures?

All the events in my life are being photographed. I used to print all the pictures that I had either in the negative of the films or those store in my discs. Now that they’re numerous, I find it expensive to have them all printed. I just view them in my flash discs or store them in acd. whenever we have visitors at home, I let them view the pics in the tv. Those were already considered as the virtual album. Do you still prefer printing your pictures?

My parents have a long tradition of putting together family photo albums and although it's expensive, it's a tradition I like to uphold. Of course I still keep all my photos on my hard drive, but I like to select the best ones and get them printed and put them into albums. The thing is, flipping through a physical photo album is just so much nicer and easier to be nostalgic over than going through them on a computer. Funny, but true.

that's true. having those pictures printed are much easier to view than opening the computer and viewed them. another advantage is that anytime we can go over them anf feel nostalgic anytime we want. it's always great to see them everytime we want. thanks for responding to this post.

I agree with that statement! I think that's why I enjoy making scrapbooks so much, it gives your pictures a sense of 'quality' and not just random shots.

I suppose it's nice if you can print your pictures and place them in an album of some kind but I really don't see the need anymore. We have our computers and as long as we backup our photos on a regular basis then we will never lose them. I prefer this method. One thing is guaranteed and that is, there will never be a buildup of dust on your pictures! Andrew

that's what i was thinking too. when we print the photos there are things that will happen.one is that dust will accumulate and sometimes the mositure damages them. even if they're in an album, they can't get away with the factors that will ruin them. i guess i will stick to storing them in a disc and have some back ups so that i will have other source of storage.

I have a digital camera and I have many photos on my camera that I haven't printed yet. When I go traveling overseas I come home with lots of travel photos. Typically I print about one hundred of my best photos. Then I put them in a photo album to go with my row of travel photo albums. I have a digital picture frame and I adore watching the photos be shown one by one.

I love working with pictures and to be honest, I love to print them out as well. I rarely take them to get them printed, because I have so many that I just don't know where to begin. I plan on keeping the majority of my photos on CD's so I can view them, but I also want to print a few of them so I can make scrap book albums. I have several pics on my memory cards right now that should be printed, and I should make an honest effort to get at least 20 printed in a months time.

Before, I used to print pictures. However, when i realized that I already have many unprinted pictures now, I doubt if I could still print it. It will surely incur additional expense in my part, the fact that i am fond of taking pictures. To save some memorable events, I just save them all and post some of them in my friendster and other accounts.

we share the same sentiments on that. i happened to count my virtual albums and it reached 100 plus already. i don't know if it is still possible for me to print all of that since they're too much already and that would cost me a lot of money. i just resort to having them all in the disc and view them sometimes. it will take a lot of time too to view them all in a day.

I still prefer to look at pictures that are printed than to look at them through a computer monitor or a television screen. I know that you can even zoom closer to images were taken with a digital camera to see more details, the advantage with technology and all that advancement but, when you get to just view a printed picture, you tend to appreciate the whole picture and then comment on the other details that you get to notice. Anyway, its matter of preference so to each their own, as they say. (^_^")

I do not print my pictures.I just store it in the computer as it is.When they time comes to show someone pictures then i will go and print it.Some photos which are very special to me i will get them printed so i can remember then for life.I think having pictures printed are very good as we can show the visitors the photos instead of putting on the computer and showing it to them.

Hey, No I don't really print my pictures anymore, I think that it is far to expensive to actually print them all. We have a couple of thousand of photos, maybe even more, and to print them all would cost a few hundred. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hi flagella08 Yes, I still print my pictures, especially the good ones. I know, they are numerous, but I still love to print some of them, take it in a frame and hang it on the wall My parents and auntie don't really understand computer and feel lazy if they need to open computer everytime they wanna see the photo. You know, it's different, touch the real printed image compared to see the image through the computer screen only. Plus, if there's viruses or our computer hang or attacked then all that photos full of memory will lose! Nooooo! So, to play save by print some if them is my choice

Hello flagella08, maybe most of people do the same things. Because my around friends all do this. With the development of digital storage, the price of them is so low that we all can afford them. What's more, the digital storages are so convenience that we can take them to anyplace and anytime.

I do still print out some pictures. Mostly the ones that i print out are of the family history, and some of the more recent photos. I have considered printing out the photos that i have up for sale on my site, but then i would have to raise the price of the pictures.

Once upon a time we were limited in the number of pictures we could take and so we had to carefully plan what photos to make. Now we can easily take hundreds in a matter of minutes before realizing it. That is way too many to print out just for the sake of printing them.

I do perferr to print pictures but only the ones I want for my wall or to share with someone else through mail. I store rest on disks in my computer and on memery cards. The cost to print photos have when down drastically since we are now in the digital age of photography. I will make disks for family members for if they want to print then they can. Some are trying to store all the photos in small place so with this technology they can store thousands in a matter of a few inches of space. Then if you ever have photos such as old family members from the 1800's or so you can scan them in and then everyone in the family could have a copy.

I only choose some of my pictures to be printed. Like you said, it is expensive to print all of our pictures nowadays when we can actually have them in our computer or something. That saves a lot of money and energy already. We could always have them printed some other time anyway :) Take care!
