The task creator for Write (6) Short Paragraphs about Help Desk Manager Jobs has rejected your submission. The task creator's reason: Does not meet required criteria. I knew it, but some how i got bored about posting recently, and most specially today but i didn't have anything else to do i did one thing I hate the most. but then, i had some knowledge of the topic so i what he heck i got nothing to loose. then, some how i thought that barrier of me and the task is about to break out since It's my first task and the wording were pretty good. But after seeing this, phew why even bother i wasted my time checking this out. No offense to those who got it right. I just think it's not for me at all. Have a Great Day

Sorry love, but if you wrote up the task the way you typed this up, then it's a boiiiiinnnnng .... They want perfect grammar, English and punctuation. The odd "i" instead of "I" - they'll tell you to correct and resubmit, but how it works is, your content goes straight on a web page, so if it's impossible to fathom MyLot just send it back. I enjoy tasks as I love writing. It's a shame you got rejected if you know your stuff - for me it's generally I can write about it, but don't know the subject. Perhaps you could share tasks with another writer?

Hey - your avatar is scarier than your code pic! I did get one or two sent back, but always for silly mistakes. I don't bother with the kind of thing you wrote about - I don't know enough about US commerce. To be honest, I keep getting memos but don't bother doing tasks unless I'm really underworked with my regular tasks. Thing is, you're not doing the task for MyLot per se, but for their clients. So the standards aren't MyLot's, but the people who use MyLot to farm out cheap copy. We're just slaves to the system, you and I. Slaves to the system ...

hey, jazz, So far, hey haven't deleted this discussion so it's fair to say such things if am rejected. I "NEVER" write "I" or i in the task. i followed the directions most specially the part where you can't write narratives or fake stories, i simply wrote my knowledge about the topic. i wasn't a quick typer but i did thought about it and do research. No, probably not. well, that's okay. have you been successful with task? if it is, then congratulations.have a great day....

The key on passing the task is to use the related keywords. Literally using the keywords word per word. Opinions don't count and minimize using the "I" and "You" pronouns. There will always be a next time.

Yes a lot of my tasks have been approved by sharon bucks so i totally recommend it! But to tell you honestly, i have experienced the three stuffs to be experienced in making tasks. Like it got accepted *that was the first time*. It was rejected *the second time* and the third time i submitted my piece, it was returned. I just hope here tasks will always be available since i am not always here in mylot, i need something to boost my earnings once in a while. Anyway, i still like to post here and nobody can't stop me.

Hey, Koala, I bet you have done this task thing and got approved, right? to be honest i did put the the key words in the task from the first to the last paragraph and still it was rejected.must have put a sentence that wasn't actually close to the subject. i didn't use the I and You words there since it states that i can't create fictional narrative stuff. have a great day.

Hello LK. I too got rejected for this type of task, and to think I wrote or rather chose topics that I am really familiar with because they are related to my previous job. But I guess their standards are pretty high because I got the same message that I was not following the required format.

Well, well at least you tried and you learned some lessons from doing so anyway so cheers my dear! You know it is better to be rejected and you know you did not meet the criteria that is why you were rejected. It is definitely better than my sad experience of having performed the task successfully and the task creator even acknowledged it then the task creator suddenly required you to do the last step to get paid which is not at all possible to do. It is plain and simple cheating and I admit this is what we call waste of time. I wasted my time doing the task of of this id!ot and stup!d Task Creator. I even added him as friend because that is required in the task he created. I actually started a topic about and if you care to know the whole thing for your learn some lessons then do go to this link http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2140796.aspx?p=1#2_20131337/ I am now really angry with this b!tch!

Oh yes he is also a mylotter. And you are right it is better to do the tasks of Sharon Bucks. I've done tasks under her and luckily I was paid already several times. Thanks for your kind advice. Have a nice day!

Hello Salonga, Is the tsk creator, also a mylotter as well? for me, there's no guarantee if a mylotter is the one doing the task because to most, they either forgot or choose not put funds into the task. probably she didn't realize it so it had upset you when she said about you doing the task again. do it under sharon bucks instead.

Some of us are good at one thing and others are good at another. We must enjoy what we do in order to make it worthwhile too. I do not like writing about things that I am not interested in so I have not tried the writing tasks either and I stick to the discussions. You know you can have fun here so stick with us and just put that rejection down to experience

I realize that I am not supposed to criticize spelling and grammar on myLot partly because there are so many users who have English as their second language. However, to reply to your posted question this is necessary. I certainly hope you cleaned up your grammar, spelling, and punctuation, as well as your capitalization, and was not the same as in your post. I get 10 capitalization and spelling mistakes without even getting into the subjective area of idea expression and sentence structure. If I received this type of writing that I had to sell to a third party, I would reject it also.

Hello Mariposa man, Well, i had no idea exactly what was the criteria not accepted by the site.but maybe you're right, i should re-check my spellings and some of the words that I've been using, i got used to writing this way and i thought it was alright.i now understand how strict they are but it's also gives me more reason to hate the task. have a great day..

I understand how you feel. I had my share of rejections too. As a writer, I often take it as a crash to my ego But it's my fault too, I knew I shouldn't have opted for topics that I am clueless about. But still, it's worth a try. Since logging in this morning, I got accepted for 2 of my task submissions. So, keep trying!

Hi Letran... I never had a task rejected but i have one pedning for about 2 months now... after the 3 tasks I did which earned me only $0.05.. I never did any more tasks... i feel they are not so worth it.. and I would rather stick to the discussions.

hello patofgold, Unfortunately there are other people in mylot or users that doesn't realize that they have to add funds to the task before it is considered as one. i happen to have done that in my previous account and two have actually done my task but they didn't get the money because i didn't put funds into it.

okay, my friend, just not get bored for the rejection. There are many tasks available in mylot, you can choose another one. of course, you have worked hard for completing the task, but the result is not satisfied with you, I think you need accept this, and forget the unhappiness. In the first place, be happy is important. right?

Letran, I got 5 task submissions all rejected in a row. It was a real waste of precious time. Some of these tasks had to be done within seven hours and I finished some in the wee hours of the morning. Research was difficult as most topics are USA-centric. There was not much information. Actually, we need use only one of the keywords in our task. If you look at the keywords they are downright confusing. I think Sharon Bucks needs to buck up a bit of these lead words. I think she should pay ME to write up the copy before she offer it as tasks to MyLotters. To be fair to us, she should award us for some of the value she is getting. If the task payment is USD4 and our task assignments do not fully meet the criteria [which is not TRANSPARENT to us], then she should award us a pro-rata payment on what can be of use. Actually, I did ensure most of my task meet with the criterion set forth. I think most of mine got rejected because she prefers others. Using an axe, called "Does not meet required criteria." is her way of getting out of an arbitrary situation! What do you say?

We seem to get many alerts informing us of how many tasks are available and the outstanding pay involved. And it is-I suppose-if done correctly, you can earn tons more than merely forum discussing. I like to write, and believe I am fairly good at it grammatically and content wise. I have checked them out in the past to find out I won't take a stab at them and for many reasons. First of all, I cannot write of things that I am unfamiliar with, and to date, I have not been intrigued by anything in the tasks section. Secondly, I have heard "horror" stories of the rejections-like yours- and how people get frustrated when spending time to ultimately have it be a waste of their time. No thanks-If I am going to waste my time online, I will spend all day playing usless online games-something that is nothing more than entertainemnt. I don't like getting discouraged, so I will not waste my time on something the chances are very high I will not succeed in.

Well, they are probably selling the tasks writing material by the Mylot members as our pay!! I do check them out constantly though, hoping maybe something I know VERY well and then take a chance-one chance to see how I do. I can't see spending hours of research on a subject you are not familiar with to just earn 3 bucks or whatever.

You are not alone in the sentiment. I tried out two tasks before which would pay a measly 10 cents each. Just wanted to see how it would go before I went any further. Good thing I only spent time doing 2 tasks because both were rejected. After reading a lot of discussions with people saying they've got tasks approved but also got tasks rejected, I realized there must be a batting average somewhere that I don't know the computation of. And I can't help but think what really happens when a task creator rejected submissions. What if he/she is just rejecting some to get them done for free? Who's to know if the rejected submissions were even used somewhere or not? I'm not accusing anyone here but since we don't even know what happens to the submissions after they were rejected, is it so surprising for some people to wonder? Just thinking/typing out loud ... Anyway, I no longer try out any tasks because it's a waste of time to exert a lot of effort only to find out that it's all for nothing. I'd rather join discussions and learn from my fellow mylotters or share whatever inputs I could ...

You have all made me feel so much better. I was still dwelling on how I worked so hard on a task-and it was rejected saying it had "many punctuational and grammatical errors." I was ticked...I spent a good hour on it...for nothing. Now I feel better knowing that I'm not alone in that rejection!

Hello TrvlArrngr, Which over here? the whole mylot or the task? for me, the task is a wase of time when you are rejected from it. as of now, i am not looking for any other task to be rejected with..well, now that you have told me stories about how yours got rejected, it seems that it gives me more reason to hate the task.

Thank you for the discussion.I have been thinking about trying a task but so far I just have not found one that interest me. You do have to do a lot of work and the pay is not very high for all the time you spend doing the task. It does not feel good when after doing all that work to have your work rejected especially when you do not know why it was rejected. I do agree not getting paid anything for all your work is a waste of time.

hello Happy6162, you said it alright, well, it was just a trial and nothing more more than that. i don't know, probably still lack of knowledge and research for this type of task. the ones am planning to do latnight didn't appear anymore because it's been occupied by others already, i might end up getting a empty slot.

Hi letranknight, haha I was thinking of posting a discussion about that 6 paragraph task. I never tried doing a task simply because the pay is too low and the 6 paragraph task always have either such boring topics or topics I have no idea about. But recently I receive an alert that says they have raised the pay for it. Reaching $4 per write up. And then I thought hey $4 is not that bad for one task, it would only take you a few hours. And if you like writing I guess that's fine. But I still haven't tried it cause I had a lot of concerns. Like how do I know that they really had no use for the 6 paragraph I've written just in case they have rejected it. And I was bothered with the idea that there are thousands of mylotters who are probably interested of the job, how sure am I that by the time i finish mine, the job is still available... Anyway, that's too bad that yours was rejected. I'm pretty sure that could be annoying having to spend some time writing that in the first place. As for me, I still don't know if I'll ever do a task.lol

@letranknight Actually I received an alert saying that the payout for the 6 paragraph task was raised to $4. But when I tried to check it that time, its still $2. lol Weird!!! I never really had the chance to see $4 on it. That's why that task is just getting more and more confusing for me.
