i have met someone, she is nearly ordained as a nun but was tempted by some guy she'd known and was getting pregnant by him, so she walked away from being a nun. her life now is turning upside down an she said that her life seems to be always down, she told me that she was being cursed because her husband has been stabbed and has been hospitalized that cause their money to drain out. and then after that, her daughter was sick of dengue, and then there was no money left for them and don't know where to get something to eat because her husband is not yet able to work know. both of them had no work that sometimes she thinks she's going to get crazy of all the problems she had now. so i told her that it is just trials and she has to keep going on, never surrender because i really don't believe in curse..God does not curse and He wouldn't allow His people to get cursed, it's just trials that all of us encountered.

In her situation, it is not a curse. It is just a trial to make her strong and face the reality. From that, what ever storm make come in her life, she may able to cope up.

hi again xannebull no I really do not believe in a curse, as'I believe in God. so that leaves life in general and a lot of times we do make our own bad luck inadvertantly and so we must undo some things. for one thing life is not fair, so we must accept that and keep on trucking. we will get there

you're right, sometimes it happens in our life, the problems that has no solutions and we think that it's already a curse which is not true, problems are just normal and it happens on every person so we must just get over with it.

Sure, I would say for me curses are real but that is because I cursed someone before. That was when I was a wiccan with no direction. I regretted doing it. But as for the person you know, I don't think it is a curse but just like what you said about a trial she has to face. Why at that particular time, I have no idea, but I'm sure she can make it through if she can believe that she is capable of rising above her issues.

There is really no such thing as a curse. Why is it everyone has to have something or someone to blame. If it makes her feel better to say she's cursed, OK. It won't change anything.

it's because it think they are already tired with the problems they had and wondering why all of those things happen to her, so she just said maybe she was being cursed, and i don't really believe that it's a curse.

Nowadays, curse doesn't exist. All the problem arises in our life is our destiny. It only depends on you on how you accept it as a curse or trials. The important is how you handle the circumstances like this. How you will be able to stand up from falling down. Have faith in God...prayers there's immeasurable power in it.

Hi xannebull, I am one of the few who finds this system of making people take decisions for their entire life at a very young, very unusual. Oh! I know marriages are also similar. But then, if a marriage turns out to be bad, people do go for divorces, dont they? So why cant we extend similar understanding towards the girl. She has been focusing only on negatives. Such bad patches can occur at times. :( Things will only improve from hereon. So tomorrow if her husband finds a job, would she say god is pleased with her choice? Its just bad time. It will pass. There is nothing like a curse. :) At times, though, god does punish us, if we've hurt another person.

it is hard to believe all those things she experienced. she really went through such a hard life. wish that she will have a good life. i don't think getting out of being nun made her life into a curse. that is not true. life is really difficult nun or no nun. hope she will find the answer and all the help that she needs in life.

I don't believe in curses. If someone told me I was living under a spell or hex that had been cast my way, I would have to just shake my head and wonder what kind of snow job that person was trying to pull over on me. To believe in a curse is really about allowing outside influences to weaken your personal power. If you do believe in curses, it may very well be time to evaluate how this belief might be serving you. To hold onto the belief that you have been cursed may very well be an excuse for you not to acknowledge your personal responsibility in creating unpleasant life situations. Think about it!

Yes, in my religion, there are incidents of curses, especially in the Old Testament. Those who defy God, got His curses. The New Testament also mentions about Jesus throwing all the curses and spirits into the pigs. Today, modern day Christians still believe in curses. When someone is not doing well or is sick, they always talk about the curse of the 'sins of the fathers' and that we, the descendants are paying in retribution.

i think if we believe in curses, i think the power of it will have greater effect on you. the thing is, we are living in an old world that has been through a lot of disasters in life... and maybe, just maybe things like curse, and other unexplainable things can happen. prayer - this should guard you against any evil thoughts and evil curses.

I never believe in curse. i think what happen to your friend is Trial. when someone get Trial from God, it's mean God love her/him. because with God's Trial we become more patient and more resilient to face trial. and hopely, we can be closer to God

hi xannebull, Well in everyone's life rich or poor, good or bad, god fearing or atheist, there are difficult times and everyone has to cope with that. Some people have more bad times than good and otherway round. May be when we have good time we dont remember them, we never count small happiness as happiness but we count small problems as curse. There is no such thing as curse and if you have faith in supreme power then the difficult time would pass away but that power is testing you how much you can endure and still not loose faith in him, in yourself and your loved ones.

Not really but lately I have been watching movies about witchs and witch craft. The most notable one to me was the blair witch project. It had a real sense to it cosidering that the whole movie had a budget of 30000$ and it was all filmed on cam corders and stuff like that. So it gave a real feel of real people being hunted by a witch. It's like they were cursed by the witch because at one point they walk for a day on one compass bearing and end up where they started. It was really freaky and ominous.

I agree with you, if you really have faith in God then you must not believe in curse. I don't think it does exist. It just trials in life that is given to you because God knows you can handle those trials or maybe God has its his own purpose that you need to discover.
